So much fun! What a cool event idea! SOMOS ABQ brought together local restaurants, breweries, artists, artisans, local organizations and the public into a few blocks on Central Ave. Central was closed of to traffic which allows for a cool pedestrian area. The highlight for me was going around talking with all the food booths to see what amazing food they brought to showcase their businesses.M'Tucci's had a caprese salad and gourmet meatballs, the M'Tucci's marketplace had a charcuterie plate, orzo salad, and lasagna. Pop Fizz had their amazing popsicles. There were several types of lemonade sellers and so many more really great food sellers.I talked with people representing feels who work to help foster children. Three was a therapy horse called Charm. A therapy court room dog called Cassie was there, and both of them liked attention. It was an absolutely stellar event, Howie!! Thanks for all the hard work you, the yelp crew, and all the participants put in to make this as great as it was.

You guys!!! It's finally SOMOS!!! I didn't think I would make it due to my last minute surgery but we were able to stop in for a bit and I'm so glad we did! This has to be one of the best events of the year! All of the best food trucks are here for all of your dining pleasures. Seriously! If you can dream it up, it's here from crepes to burgers and pizza. YUM!The musical talent is great too! The stages are full of surprises and entertainment!Speaking of entertainment - the circus acts are the best! There were people on stilts and everything! I can't believe how talented our city is!We'll definitely be back next year when I am feeling 100% so we can experience the full thing!

This event was great. The organizers did a terrific job, lining up excellent music on every stage, including performances by Minus the Bear and Deltron 3030. Certainly the pinnacle of the festivities came during Dillon Francis's set in front of an enormous, packed crowd. The enthusiasm and energy electrified all of downtown. The booths, vendors, food trucks, and so on were also well thought out and enjoyable. I managed to score a carne adovada burrito from 2G's after the show, and it was delicious. I'm sure the local businesses didn't mind the extra traffic; I've never seen lines outside Effex and Sister that long before. Though I was seemingly too late to catch any of the Yelp reps and get my "schwag," it was still a fun time and I applaud the teams of people that put this all together. Nicely done.

Ok so this is how I'm gonna rate SOMOS I think they could have the the event out better and should have timed out things for starters instead of placing all the food trucks toward the back and all jammed into one spot they should have spread out all the food trucks throughout the whole event. They also should have timed all the concerts instead of have them all go off simultaneously and having tons of dead spots they should have timed different concerts at different times but instead they had them all going at the same time the whole event felt like it was dead due to how scattered everything was. They also should have had all the art displayed more scattered out instead of it feeling like it was a jammed to the front of the event. So to summarize this event I'm giving it three starts due to poor layout and poor timing of stuff they event would have been more pleasant to be at if they timed things out and spread everything out but due to how they laid it out it made the event seem plain and boring you basically walk right in they have maybe a dozen art displays with it mixed with advertisers then you had every concert going on at the same time with no info on who was playing or at what times then you had to walk to the very end of it all for the food that was all shoved into a corner to top it all off.I'd recommend next time spreading everything out and timing things out next time as well as not having everything go off simultaneously where you make people miss out on things by how this was done this year it should have been free I didn't feel like it was $10 dollars per ticket if it was better planned out if then contemplate on coming back next year if they decide to change how they do stuff.

Honestly so proud of ABQ!!! This event was fun, safe and exciting. The set up was great, I felt safe with all the security and law enforcement walking around. I loved the exposure for our local artists and musicians. I think everyone I saw was having just as much as I was. I really hope we continue to have big events like this, where our youth and families can come out and have a good time, but also enjoy the culture of our city! I don't think I can say I have one complaint about it.

Wow....just...wow. I had no idea ABQ had so many non-profit organizations that were really working hard for people in this city. I asked Howie, "What do you need me to do?" since I volunteered...he only asked me to take pictures. He wanted to make sure the businesses that dedicated their time, people, and money, got some sort of recognition. And they all deserve it. I did that and I'll post all of the pictures. I didn't expect to be so blown away by the businesses that are out there and how passionate the people who work with them are. I'm truly blown away. This city has so much rich culture. Howie showcased all of it this evening. I feel so blessed to have been a part of it. Howie has shown Albuquerque his love this evening. Thank you, Howie. :)

One-of-a-kind! What am amazing event! My daughter and I volunteer for this event, we saw first hand all of the hard work and thoughtfulness that went into this event. The energy was off the hook! Awesome music, fantastic food, a beer garden with a huge assortment of craft beer, and entertainment all around....what more could you ask for? And who got Dillon Francis here?! Whaaa?! Talk about a special treat for us Burqenos! I hope that this event happens again. It was a great venue for local businesses, vendors, artists and musicians to spotlight their talent. A family friendly event in downtown Albuquerque that offers something for everyone's tastes in music, food and entertainment. Plus, it offers a perfect opportunity to check out some of the shops along downtown Route 66. I myself got to enjoy a delicious sour from Duel Brewery. My daughter and I enjoyed a popsicle from Pop Fizz and grabbed a bite to eat from M'tuccis! I can't say that I'd change a thing about the day. Even the rain made it a magical experience. Two thumbs up from this gal!

Next year, Somos ABQ and the mayor's office need to work with downtown businesses to make sure employees can safely get to their places of employment. Blocking off alleys, where many park and enter the businesses makes theses businesses lose money and productivity. It's understandable to keep areas safe etc., but do not forget the businesses! Also, many fire exits are at the back of buildings. When they're blocked with fencing, that creates some major issues!

So much fun! Organizer did a beyond phenomenal job. The music set up was nice and ideal since there was little to no interference from any of the other stages. I do wish there were more activities for adults, and a general seating area in general perhaps the corridor between 6th right before Tijeras so people could like sit and eat or sit and chat or maybe not right by the potable-potty's that would be my only suggestion. Oh and photo booths or some larger than life Decals such as SOMOS so people could take photo ops ... Nonetheless awesome event. Good Job Duke City!
