Som Tin Ta Eat

Passing through Belen yesterday we noticed a new looking food truck parked at the flea market.I'm always a sucker for a good food truck so we checked it out. Most food trucks are your basic taco/burrito places but this one has a sandwich/barbecue menu.I had the Southwest Ruben, one of the best I've had. The wife had the grilled cheese, also well done!Both came with home made tortilla chips and queso. Sounded odd thinking they should have been offered with potato chips or fries but the tortilla chips were hot, just out of the fryer and awesome.The special was Armadillo eggs, a kind of a jalapeño popper on steroids. wrapped in sausage and bacon then smoked on site. They were spectacular!!The folks running the place are super friendly, they have the whole family there. The young daughter is a natural with handling customers.Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

Had another tasty meal. The strip steak sandwich is a very good piece of meat. It's better than the fillet I had last week here in town. My husband had the carne asado baked potato which was also very good. Definitely a good meal.

They have really good food! I love the nachos and eat often. Totally recommend them. They are a nice family.
