Tramway and Central. They have 2 cashiers open with 15 people in each line. The self checkout full with the line going into the bakery area. Ask to speak to a manager and you're told where they are...you go up with their name and they say I'm not the manager I only manage front of store! They do NOT have anything but plant based milk or ice cream but say the company stopped getting other things. This store serves the entire 4 Hills area in Abq NM which has over 5,000 houses and the surrounding area. It should be hiring like crazy and getting products people request. They don't! The order on line and pick up service is usually great. Sad to lose this store

I apologize this is a long review... This Smiths grocery is the closest grocery store to my house and most of the time I don't have any issues. The staff is for the most part. Eye nice and helpful. Give or take 1 or 2 people who are extremely rude. One of them tonight, I believe her name was Noreen, according to the coworker I asked. She is very short w/ brown short hair. I work odd hours at my job so when I grocery shop for my fam it's usually at diff hours and tonight I had to go late. I was checking out around 1050 pm and the self check kept going off like most of them do. I could see the frustration in her face even though I wasn't doing anything wrong on my end. It was the machine. However; when I came to pay with my digital coupons, two of them didn't ring up even though I had them on my phone. She was in such a rush, even rolling her eyes and sighing when I asked why the digital discount didn't come off. She had attitude with me the entire time and refused to honor my coupons. Perspectively they were only $.50 and the other one was $.60 off, I know it's not a lot of money but with prices now and the economy, with groceries every bit counts. She's the first staff member I have ever had at Smith to literally refuse to help me and honor the discount that I had already clipped to my digital coupon on my phone. Everyone else is always super nice and willing to help and honor the coupons. Her excuse was it's 11 o'clock and the machines are going to shut off and since the coupon isn't going to my account she said there's nothing she can do about it. Even though I told her when this has happened before numerous times, all the other employees easily scanned their badge and manually entered the coupon in. This Noreen had attitude from the beginning. I was very nice I did not give her any attitude back. I apologized for being so difficult and she still had a really bad attitude with me. It's people like that that make me not want to shop at Smith's anymore and go to Albertsons or even Walmart at this point, she was just very rude. This happened tonight around 1050 to 11 PM on January 6, 2024. I hope she can get retrained on customer service and being considerate and compassionate towards the customer that she's there to help.

Buyers Beware!!! Watch your receipts! I continually get scammed at Smiths grocery store. The price listed is different then the price charged. And yes my Fresh Values number was in there. This is not a digital coupon issue. This is sales price not being honored issue. For instance, I bought Jenny O Ground Turkey price $3.99 I got charged $5.99. I bought Oscar Meyer Beef Hot Dogs 2/$8.99 got charged 2/$12.99. I get in my car and look over my receipt and find items not charged correctly & that doesn't count the items I found while checking out that I let them know about in store. My latest item was a Chuck Roast marked $16.41 (see picture of receipt) and I got charged $19.15??? Not sure how that price is so different. In my research I found ("Class action: Kroger allegedly regularly overcharges customers, ringing up sale items at regular price" 8/17/22 Illinois"). I know everyone is struggling and there is a lot of theft going on but to have a class action law suit in one state and this is still happening to hardworking customers! I've limited my shopping at Smiths because of this issue. Ugh !

9/23: another RX screw up this time for my husband. Called in and not filled for 3 days. It's not like they are busy. This is BS time to call Kroeger corporate office. 9/12: So now gets 1 star. RX called in by dentist to fill for weekend was just filled. This is third time the have screwed up a needed prescription. This was for pain swelling for weekend. Last time they blames provider. Right. I really miss Kaiser in CA

Torn on this store review. Why?Plus side: the store layout seems nice. Handy location on my way home from work and that's were it ends for me.Negative side: The employees. Why? Sure I'm older but not stupid. I can figure out how to use self check out ( early morning shopper here) but on each occasion that I've been here I'm busy scrolling through the baked goods tab to find the bagel or donut and quantity I've got and employees come by to ask me what's in the bag, pick the bagel image, pick quantity 2, etc. for each item I have in my hand. Every. Single. Item.SO ANNOYING! My husband has been with me and he's gotten mad. I let him scan items at self check out a few times to test something out .His conclusion was the morning employees are not color blind. He's stopped by after he drops me off in the evening at this location and not been bothered by those folks. He is older and even with images on the screen he gets frustrated, this is why I do the scanning, etc and he pays I'm wondering if this location has issues with theft that I get the side eye while I'm here?I enjoy my shopping at Smiths and every employee I've ever encountered at various stores has been friendly, helpful and courteous BUT this one.No, I won't be returning to this location.

I bought chicken that was spoiled and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with Naurin and she was so understanding and helpful. I had seen her before and been in her checkout line. She has always been incredibly friendly. So I was surprised to know that she's a manager. I always go home and tell my husband how friendly she is. It's nice going somewhere and people remember who you are and treat you with the respect we deserve. She apologized to me and explained Smith's policy on food that is reduced. Thank you so much for the amazing person that you are. We need more people in this world like you.

I rented a carpet cleaning machine from this location, as I've done before. With the very first pass, a huge clump of dog hair shot out of the machine, which obviously was never cleaned. The machine also would not pick up the dirty water, which led me to have to drag my area rug into the backyard to have it dry in the sun. When I brought the machine back today, I was told I would still have to pay for it since I didn't return it immediately. I explained that I didn't return it immediately because I was trying to dry my wet, dirty carpet that their machine failed to clean....but, it fell on deaf ears. The absolute worst customer service I've received in quite some time. Here's a tip for Smiths.....when you create an issue for your customer, don't try to transfer the blame to them to cover for your mistake.

The smell was atrocious as soon as I walked in. Turned around and walked out. We are new to Albuquerque and this is the 3rd Smiths I've walked out of because they smelled. I will not try another one!

Went in on a Tuesday, and there were only two lanes open. Lines each had at least 6 people in them, and there was also a line at self checkout. Had too many items to go self, waited in line for almost 20 minutes. When we finally got up there we also had to bag all of our groceries, as there was only one bag person and he was on the other line. Staff up your place or continue to have angry customers.
