If you want good food, good craft beer selection and a fun atmosphere this is the place to hang out. Mind you it's a pool hall and bar. Don't expect fancy and quiet. Ha ha . We come here for the food (dinner), people watching and the local craft beer selection. Plus the service is top notch (friendly, fast and they looking out for you). I don't even play pool.

Victoria was super helpful. Called because a group of us were in town and needed to find a karaoke bar. They used to do it before Covid they don't do it now but she was helpful in helping identify a couple other places that my group might be able to go to. Thanks for the great community spirit. Sorry to miss out on the chance to eat the green chili cheeseburgers!

Horrible service! The bartender was turning away paying customers because she wasn't getting tipped. She had a horrible attitude, having inappropriate conversations in earshot for customer's to hear (talking about sexual things) I couldn't believe she turned away three paying customers while we were sitting at the bar "you can't order anything else, you're not tipping us" if she had a better attitude she would probably get tipped. She's rude, no professionalism, and dressed really trashy. The bouncer was really nice. Older gentleman, shorter. He was walking around cleaning and asking everyone at the bar if they were doing alright. Restrooms were filthy. Bar area was kept clean.

This place had the best green chili cheeseburger I have ever eaten. The service was also really good.They had these little free tablets you could use to play trivia, which was a lot of fun. I did not count how many pool tables they had, but apparently this is the place in town to come play pool. Also, dogs were allowed inside. Fun place and I would definitely come back.

The place is clean, tables well lit and in GREAT shape. Could use an update on the house sticks. Bartender/staff very friendly, patient and helpful. Food is decent, fish and chips was hot and came in a reasonable time. Great spot for afternoon pool.

Great local bar! I might not have gone in but this place is our friends' favorite haunt for beer and trivia. It was stop 2 on our quest for the perfect chili cheeseburger. It turned out to be a winner. They have a nice selection of draft beer, great service, and an *excellent* cheeseburger! I tried the Spicy Southwest Burger and she had the Green Chili Bacon and Cheeseburger. Both were fantastic, good meat, nicely spiced peppers and potato buns which did not outshine the meat. I was also very pleased to see that they took the doneness of the meat very seriously. I asked for medium rare and she asked for medium and they did it perfectly! Note: This is a true billiards bar, with more than 10 pool tables and a dark bar. Slate street had the best chili cheese burger so far!

We decided we should play a little pool. You enter it's clean. Go to the bar to open a tab and get your table number and balls, $5.00/hour. The pool tables are clean, level, all there equipment is well maintained. No smoking inside which is a plus. Fun, relaxing and a good jukebox. We didn't eat, we had beer. Very good.

Meh. It's a dive billiards bar..... nothing much else to say. But I have to say more according to yelp, soooo.....Our first time at slate street was a couple weeks ago, despite living in the neighborhood for the last 7 years. I hear good things on local radio 96.3, so we finally decided to try it out. Good fried bar food, but overpriced IMO.... And the trio of signature egg rolls were gummy and all tasted the same. Bartender was nice, but definitely overwhelmed because she was serving the entire place. Cook was also overwhelmed, he was the only one in the kitchen and just couldn't keep up.All in all, if I just wanted to play some pool and have a beer or two, this place is great, I guess.

Cold beer, great bar food, clean, friendly service, not pricey. Great place to go hang out, shoot some pool and have some tasty wings.

If I could I would give this place a zero star. Not only did we wait long to be served a drink (mind you she was walking back and forth and helping people besides us), the bartender was totally ignoring us after trying to flag her down to try and get a menu. After repeatedly trying I tried to cash out with the other server and could not due to it only being the bartender and then she finally came and asked if we wanted to cash out. I wouldn't be writing a review if we hadn't tried to get her attention multiple times and her making eye contact but simply ignoring us. The service was TERRIBLE. Would not recommend. Will not be returning anytime soon.
