Summary : impeccable staff and cleanliness, don't hold your breath if you came here to socialize. I really struggled about the rating, but ultimately decided I wasn't going to punish a good LGBT ran business based on their clientele. I came to the net version - so I'm told - of sidewinders. I'm not much of a bar hopper, but they were having a special event and was offered the invitation. The staff were amazing, and I loved that they had a special area to "check your drink", meaning one of the staff will watch your drink for you if you need to run out to the parking lot to grab something from your car or need to run to the restroom. I liked that. And both of the ladies at the front were kind and informative about the event. Bartenders were quick and knowledgeable about drinks, and acknowledged your existence when you walk up - really appreciated that. As for the social end, everyone is in their own clique, and that's that. The food here is pretty good and maybe sometime I'll come back and check that out. To the staff and bartenders, thanks for a great time.

Visited this spot for the first time with some friends last night and there was one theme: KARAOKE! The drinks were full of just enough courage to get you up to the open mic. Bartenders could be friendlier but overall a safe haven for local LGBTQ+.

Hadn't been to this new location since they relocated from the old one a year or two ago. This location is much smaller than the previous one and had a divey feel to it compared to the former location, which is not a bad thing. Bartender was not overly friendly but was quick to take & make our drinks when he was bartending. Atmosphere was very laid back and local patrons seemed generally friendly.

Attended an event and they were very under staffed. The food if I could give negative stars I would. Both plates were raw and we could not find a staff meme ER to get it done. I was an aweful experience

The food keeps getting better and better and better. The salad could be the freshest in Albuquerque. Put together with such care. Have you had the fried mushrooms? They are the BEST in Albuquerque. The drinks always superb. Come see a drag show!

Tonight a friend and I stopped by the new Sidewinders Bar and Grill to check the new place out. We knew we could not get cocktails but thought we'd try the "mock tails" they have on their online menu and try some of the food. I won't be going back there anytime soon. We went in and the staff was warm and accommodating. When we asked about their mock tails we were told they didn't have them. Ok - so I asked for an ice tea and was told they didn't have any ice tea so I asked for water. My friend ordered a coke and we ordered food. The food was excellent and highly recommended. The chef came out and spoke with us to see how everything was. The surprise came when we got the check and we discovered that we had been charged $1 for water! Never before have I been charged for tap water - NEVER! We overlooked a couple of other minor indiscretions, but to be charged for tap water? That's insane. It also causes customers to go elsewhere.

Not sure what happened to Sidewinders it was a very cool place to have drinks and party. It seems who ever is running it now that they want it to be just a restaurant and a boring one at that. The food and menu selection is lacking in ever way. The drink selection is basic and the bartender and waiter I got were slow and distracted. I visit Albuquerque often for business but now I'll be going elsewhere. One of the lamest night I've ever had on a weekend.

I am always down to support any and all local business. Last night I decided to give Sidewinders Bar & Grill a try. I was greeted by friendly staff at the entrance and was seated immediately. After I was seated, the waiting game began.... I waited a few minutes before a server or host came to ask what I'd like to drink, I got the pina colada slush (not the best choice). After quit a few more minutes of waiting I was ready to order. My server was back and forth talking on his phone. When he decided to go to the bar, I was like, "great, I'm ready" and don't think he heard me. He was too busy talking to what seemed like regular customers about "this" and "that" and departed the bar. Waiting a bit longer he finally comes to ask me what I'd like to order. By that time, I was ready to pay for the slushee and leave. To me, it's all about giving places a second try, but to be honest, I probably won't give this place another glance. Also, if you decide to go here, I'd suggest a table and not the bar. The bar had a metal/iron smell around it.

I kept forgetting my lunch but didn't want to order fast food and I'm glad sidewinders was there! I've eaten the chef salad and SG1 burger and am not disappointed! They looked just like the pictures!!! Super nice people but be sure to get your order in before 10 am so they have time to cook it!

Beware of parking in their parking lot. My car got hit there last night and when I asked if there was a manager I could talk to, to see if there was any camera's outside or anything, I was told to fuck off no one cared and it was my problem, not theirs. They don't care about doing the right thing.
