Shell Rapid Lube

This is a fantastic place to get your oil change. It's fast, the staff are friendly, and the owner goes above and beyond your expectations. The staff also knows a great deal about your car beyond the typical lube stations. They warned me about a defect in my vehicle that jiffy lube for example never picked up!

I would give zero stars if I could. As a female, this was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in years. The guy kept calling me 'hon' and then just decided what type of oil to put in with out asking me. When I confronted him, he said I had to have synthetic because of my high mileage. I don't even have 40k miles on my car! He used some lipstick analogy for why I needed to have him flush my radiator, which I declined to do. Long story short, the sign outside advertised an oil change for under $30, but I spent over $100, and that was after they used cheaper oil. I will say that the 100 bucks included new wiper blades that I did request. We've done many oil changes at this place, but no more. They over charge, and they don't know how to deal with women.

I do not recommend this establishment to anyone unless you are ready to be over charged for propane or services. I would give lower star rating but no option.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I came in for a oil change and tire rotation. And since I'm not a mechanic and forgot some of the terminology, long story short...during the tire rotation they noticed something very wrong with one of my wheels...and before rotating it to the front of the car...the owner went out in his own vehicle to match up my tire with the right part...brought it back and installed it. It cost me a extra $5 and trust me, the time this guy took to drive across town just to fix my car cost way more than $5. It's this kind of service and dedication that makes me proud to be a New New Mexican (coming from DC). The kindness, hard work and honesty I've come to associate with New Mexico is fully evident in this garage. I will be back for all of my car needs. Thanks guys!

I went in thinking it was the prior owner Dale and business was a new owner. Terrible! I ended up paying extra for oil change items that should have been included... A RIP OFF! Waited forever for a simple oil change!

This is the only place I get my oil changed and I'm considering not coming back. There was some confusion as to whether I've been to this location or not. My car was listed under a different license plate and there was difficulty finding my past service records. However, the sticker from my last oil change was still on my window to give them the information needed. 4 weeks ago the ownership changed over and I didn't know this. Dale, the previous owner was the reason I frequented this shop and I plan on finding another place. Dale's customer service was excellent and he always remembered me each time I came in. It's been a good run but on to the next. Overall an ok shop.

Got an oil change before a road trip. My normal mechanic was booked and they suggested these guys! I was in and out in 20 minutes. They topped off my fluids, changed the oil, vacuumed the car, put air in the tires, the works. For 40 dollars, a steal! They were honest, which is hard to find. Commercial places like jiffy lube will "suggest" several things to be wrong with your car, these guys were straight up - they did give me some options (ex: tire rotation and new wiper blades) but both were reasonable suggestions, and they didn't argue or get pushy when I declined. I will definitely be getting quick oil changes here in the future!

I used to come here and it was great but new owners not good. They posted my mileage way higher than what was on my car, I assume so I would come back sooner for an oil change that wasn't needed.....

Similar to another reviewer, owner tried to put in a more expensive oil than agreed upon. Quote skyrocketed from $40 to $170 and then continued to argue with me that it was a better oil even though I was very, very specific on what I wanted and we agreed about. Owner was very very rude and eventually told me he never wanted to see me come around again. I wish I could yell it from the rooftops what an absolutely atrocious experience this was. Do not go here!!!

Owner and other employees tried to sell many things I did not need. The owner tried that classic scam of showing me old oil and claiming I needed an oil system flush. He said the oil had not been changed in over a year, and when I checked my records, it had been 5 mo.
