Serendipity Day School

Can't say enough about Serendipity. They were recommended by multiple people in the area, and have just been exceptional in every regard. Our 3.5yr old has been attending Serendipity since he was 2 and its been wonderful. The teachers are extremely caring, knowledgeable and experienced. They've honestly taught me so much about dealing with a toddler. Just a great vibe about the whole place. Great communication between parents, teachers and management. I don't know what we'd do without them! HIGHLY recommend!!

There are few places or people you can trust your kids with. I don't just mean safety but how the children are socialized and the activities and values that are imbued. Serendipity admin and teachers are caring, hard working and attentive, with sensitivity to each kid. I feel likemy kids lives and our lives are better for our experience at serendipity.

This place is family! Everyone including the fabulous ladies in the office have given me and my family support, love, and friendship from day one. Not only have they given great guidance and encouragement to my daughters but they have helped me through hard times as well. Mendra, Sumi, and Megan in room 5 have enabled my daughter who has some special needs to become stronger, more confident, and better prepared for kindergarten. I seriously can't say enough good things. I love this place!

Terrific for young childhood development. We were looking for a daycare that had some lose but present structure with a methodical approach when we found Serendipity. I was very pleased with the way Paul presented us with a detailed play by play log of our 3 yr old's first couple days. We knew who she played with, what she did, whether she had any episodes of stress or joy, and had a lot of confidence that she was integrating nicely. Sumi and Paul also performed a home visit, and there are parent events at the school so we could see first hand how delighted and close the rapport was with our kid. At mid-point and the end of the year they also provide feedback and assess the basic developmental indicators such as shape recognition, letters, puzzles, as well as social indicators such as imaginative play with others and expressing herself to her peers. The teachers are very good at welcoming the kids when they come in so they have smooth departure. When I return at 5 they are always involved and engaged in creative and constructive activities such as puzzles, blocks, role play or even preposition bingo. I feel that my child has undergone a graceful and significant transition from wildebeest to someone who is well on track toward being prepared for the kindergarten environment.

We have had such a wonderful experience here. Everyone is so kind and the atmosphere has been so warm. That goes such a long way with my daughter and my family. We came from La Puerta De Los Ninos (which is awful) and are so glad we made the switch.

Serendipity is a wonderful play based school!Both of our children have loved going to school there and we feel like they received a well balanced, caring and fun start to their education.

This is a lovely school with excellent teachers, a solid approach to child care and education, and supportive administrators. My son has been going there since he was almost 3, and he loves every minute of it. He's a little clingy, so the first time I dropped him off he cried like the world was ending, but now he doesn't want to leave. Especially big props to the leadership, who are always responsive to my concerns and genuinely care about my son's development and happiness. I can't say enough good things about Serendipity!

Oh man, we miss this preschool so so much. We moved to New York over the summer, and if I could have transported the school, we would have. My then-three year old was enrolled last year and I can't say enough good about this school. The school has a great vibe, great communication with parents, and teachers who genuinely like children. I felt like my child was loved at this school, and she's told me since we left that she misses it. Highly recommend.

I don't have enough wonderful things to say about Serendipity. The teachers are awesome. The staff is awesome. The way they create such a calm and relaxing atmosphere for the kids is brilliant and super impressive, not to mention how important it is for the kids. They're always filling each day with fun activities and day trips. And the outdoor area is one of the best I've seen with large trees for shade and a good assortment of playing structures. They also helped make my son's transition into kindergarten really smooth by preparing him educationally and emotionally with trips to the new school etc. Got to know the teachers really well too. What a friendly and inviting place. Thanks so much Ms. Mendra, Ms. Megan, Ms. Sumi, and Ms Claire for helping to make our son's first schooling experience so special. We love you guys!!!
