Select Floors

WORST JOB EVER! Terrible communicators. Initially had troubles getting the correct wood. Owner insisted the floors were red oak, they are maple. This pushed the start date of our job back considerably. When they finally started the job it ended up taking over twice as long as quoted and looked TERRIBLE. Everywhere there is black sealed next to their uber light filler. They sanded down the vinyl in bathroom. Look for yourself. When I complained and said I wasn't happy I was told, via text, and I quote, "the white looking filler was present". It matches the filler they used throughout - and covers nails we know they added. It wasn't present before. And as professionals, if it was here, it should have come up in part with the sanding and been something they either fixed or talked to us about. "The black finish and old filler may be what you are seeing in other areas", I was told was also present. THEN WHAT THEY DO? We hired them to add wood in a hallway and refinish the entire house. The owner never did address the fact I can get my fingernails down into the holes they left between planks. While they did a fine job installing the new floor they put down, the rest is unprofessional and looks terrible. Photos are from the current state of my newly refinished floors, NOT before.

We recently hired Select Floors to refinish the wood, brick, and flagstone floors totaling about 3100 sf in a home we purchased. The brick floor work resulted in more extensive work than planned necessitating a slight revision to the estimate, and the entire job took three weeks. The company was recommended to us by the original home builder so we did not seek competing estimates although researched cost comparisons and felt the estimate was generally fair. The house was vacant during work performance. The final result was an amazing transformation. The wood floors in particular are stunning. Chris (lead onsite) was exceptional in keeping us informed during the process and meeting a tight deadline after adding scope for the brick floor. Would definitely use this company again.
