Secret City Kitchen

Very convenient spot located just next to the classroom i was doing training. Got their rice entree, the meat was pretty dry and flavorless.

Secret City Kitchen is awesome! I haven't had something I didn't like. Plus, they're inventive, i.e. 'Naanchos'. I love the tapas they served at projectY cowork during the summer, and I hope to see more of them at the concerts at Ashley Pond and other special events. The shrimp salad I had at ScienceFest was delicious. They clearly take pride in what they make and carefully assemble so many flavorful ingredients into the perfect bite! Some of their food can be a little spicy, but I love it.

I ordered my first Wednesday night meal last week and was disappointed. I love the concept, but this meal fell short. It was balsamic glazed pork and rice. The pork was overcooked, dry and tough. The rice looked like minute rice? The glaze was tasty, but we could have used more of it to use like a sauce or gravy to help flavor the rice. Unfortunately, the leftovers are still in my fridge a week later. I had planned to re-invent the meal... but I suppose it never inspired me. The portion was pretty good, although I think there should be some simple vegetable included- steamed broccoli, roasted carrots? Meat and rice is certainly not a well rounded meal. We did order the add on salad, and that was quite tasty! It did arrive hot- but it arrived much later than expected, I think 45 minutes late? I had actually had plans that day, and wouldn't have still been home for the delivery or to eat dinner, but my plans were cancelled. I will try again, I want to love this food and the service. I think the price is fair for a good meal, this meal seemed overpriced for what we got all around... will see if our next meal is better. I hope last week was an off night.

This place had the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. Seriously I've eaten a football field full of sandwiches, so that's saying something!
