I cannot recommend a restaurant in Albuquerque more. Other than the fried asparagus, everything I've had there has been good or amazing. The ambiance is just okay. One of their waiters is the best in Albuquerque and the others need a little work. So, for me, the food is what really matters and although it is pricy, it's one of my favorites and I go whenever I want a treat.

5 star food & service. Will definitely return here. We arrived close to closing but they never made us feel rushed and made great recommendations and even dessert when it was late. Nice small cozy restaurant that is perfect for 2 to a small group. Make reservations if you want to be assured a table. You will make it a favorite.

We had a great Friday night dinner here and enjoyed every part of the experience. We started with the spicy scallops ($22), which had a nice balance of heat and flavor. The starter salad came with a creamy blue dressing that I really liked. For my main dish, I had the duck breast ($22), which was cooked just right and paired well with the sides. My mom and sister ordered the Filet de Boeuf with Au Poivre sauce ($40) and enjoyed it very much. The staff were warm and attentive, taking the time to explain the specials and make us feel welcome. It was a wonderful meal, and I'd definitely come back.

We went Tuesday night and had a wonderful.Called in for a reservation. Seated right away. Had the fried asparagus as an appetizer with the green chile each, highly recommend. I had the braised lamb shank pasta with mushroom ragu and my girlfriend had the salmon with the saffron risotto. The restaurant has a chill inside with great local art. I want to sit in the bar next time!

Had dinner here this past Friday and really enjoyed my meal. From the service to the food (taste, presentation), and the ambiance - this place deserves 5-stars in my book!I started with the french onion soup and sharing the smoked salmon salad. The french onion soup had a good depth of flavor. It wasn't smothered with an overwhelming amount of cheese, but it had a nice broil to the top and I definitely enjoyed the cup of soup! The salmon salad we shared had a beautiful presentation and was a great little appetizer before the main. For the main, I got the kebab -- the steak was perfectly medium rare and served with a choice of a side (got the garlic mashed!)--overall I left super satisfied. The service was friendly and with just the right amount of checking in. A great place in Old Town! Highly recommended!

We were looking for something a little more "upscale" in Albuquerque and this was one of the few options we found. I'm so glad that we picked it!We got there early for happy hour and found that they had some REALLY good deals on their apps! The Charcuterie Board was enough for 3-4 people and had a lot of different options. I expected the Encrusted Brie to come in a puff pastry, and was surprised that it looked to be breaded and deep-fried. However, it was delicious! Like no other brie appetizer I've ever had!The portions on the main dishes were MASSIVE! They could have cut the servings in half and it would still have been a good value. As they were, they were enough for 2-3 servings!I got the Braised Lamb Shank Pasta. The pasta itself wasn't anything special, but the lamb was beautifully tender and the sauce was excellent. Not pictured (sorry!) but by far the dish of the night was the Buffalo Short Rib. A HUGE chunk of short rib with a nice, salty sauce and the meat literally fell off the bone- it was perfectly cooked. There was also a Green Chile Risotto that I wouldn't call a risotto, but it doesn't matter because it was delicious! If you're looking for upscale food in Albuquerque and also want good value, this is the place!

Seared is so cute! It's tucked away between old town and downtown near the country club. The bar area is where I went, not the dining section. The bartender Dominic is super attentive, gives information about the food and drinks in a detailed way, and the owners are so caring about customers having a great experience. When I first went, I got the lamb and it is mouth watering just to think about it right now. The last time I went, I ordered the steak Diane which was also good. Their specials and happy hour deals are a CANNOT MISS. Highly recommend this place for anyone interested in a high quality experience!

Went for NYE dinner last night. I made a reservation after I saw the menu posted on Facebook. They had a special holiday menu that had many interesting and good choices. Upon checking in, we were offered a table in the bar area or in the dining area. We chose the bar area as we like the cozy atmosphere there. We started with a solid Old Fashioned. We shared Jan's spicy scallops for an appetizer. The plate contained 4 perfectly cooked large scallops in an absolutely delicious spicy sauce with onions, mushrooms, and chilis. It was served with two pieces of toasted bread to sop up the great sauce. For mains, the shared the Duck Wellington and the Halibut cheeks Each entree came with a nice side salad. We both ordered the green Chile ranch which is housemade and has great flavor and a nice heat. The Wellington contained a large piece of medium rare duck served along side a blackberry jam and simply dressed greens. The pastry was golden brown and flaky. The dish was delicious. The second dish-halibut cheeks were served panko encrusted with lemon buerre blanc sauce, along with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The asparagus was perfectly cooked the mashed potatoes were creamy and absolutely delicious. The halibut cheeks were perhaps just a tad overcooked but nonetheless good. For dessert we ordered the seasonal cobbler which was apple cranberry with a biscochito cookie, instead of the traditional topping, with ice cream. The dessert took quite awhile to come out and our waitress apologized several times. We weren't concerned as we had nowhere else to be and this gave us a chance to have a breather between courses. The wait for the cobbler was well worth it. Thinly sliced apples with the skin which I always appreciate because it adds to the texture. There were plenty of cinnamon and warm spices that enrobed the apples. The biscochito cookie that topped the apples was hot and was a nice change of pace to make the dish more New Mexican. The cobbler was served piping hot with house made ice cream. The decaf coffee was very good as well. Nice and strong. We had excellent service and our waitress even provided me with a couple of recommendations for books to read. We have always had great meals and service at Seared. Will definitely be back and one of these days we will make it for lunch when it operates as Cheese and Coffee.

I was visiting town for work and was able to get a reservation here with a colleague. We ordered the salmon Crudo and mussels for appetizers. The mussels were delicious and the sauce was to die for--we wanted more bread to dip. For my entree, I ordered the hamachi special which was tasty and cooked perfectly. My colleague ordered the scallops.I am giving them 4 stars because I ordered a dirty martini but I had to ask for the blue cheese stuffed olives (which they say they have in the menu) and we had to wait a little longer for our entrees to come out.
