The insanity of this place is mind blowing. Complete incompetence from start to finish. It literally took them over 4 weeks to send a body repair estimate to my insurance company that had already been completed and stated that it was totaled. Literally all they had to do was hit "SEND". After they refused to respond to my phone calls and emails and the insurance company's phone calls and emails for WEEKS, I was told, "We can't send it because you keep calling." Ummm. This is 2018 right? You're capable of playing mine sweep and being an a**hole at the same time, how can you not hit send? I finally went in and about lost my mind. Their response to why it has taken them nearly a month to hit send was a simple shrug and then breaking eye contact like cowards. You couldn't make this up. The insanity of it all is mind blowing. How they are in business or even more remarkably how they are not in jail is confounding. My hope is that enough of these reviews will make the manufacturers rethink their relationships with these crooked idiots. The icing on this horrifying cake is that my insurance company called to inform me that Scoot ABQ were trying to charge me $100 a DAY to store my broken scooter. Ahhhhh.....THAT is why they didn't send in the estimate. They make more "storing" the vehicle than selling me a new one anyway. What a joke. These guys are criminals and hopefully their run of taking advantage of folks will be short lived. Their bill for doing nothing but shoving a broken scooter in a corner and not responding to calls and emails was over $1500....and that is the NEGOTIATED price. They wanted double that. BTW, the scooter is worth about $1K. Someone please open a rad and legit scooter shop and put these morons out of business.

Just called to speak with the service manager and the guy who answered the phone would not connect me to the service manager. Did not have a good feeling about the place; believe he was untruthful about the cost of repairs and will seek another dealer.

So as we have found out... Scoot ABQ is own by the Garcia Automotive Group, so it is not as independent as it appears to be. So I docked one star from the perfect 5 experience that I got from the store.Scooters are getting popular here in Albuquerque, and I was able to find a lightweight 170 cc scooter at Scoot ABQ. The salesperson is super nice and very upfront about the scooter and able to negotiate without making you feel like you are walking into a used scooter sales lot. They have all of the major brands from Kymco, Piaggio and Vespa. The selection is huge and it was the only place in town where I can find a scooter that is Made In Taiwan! If you do not mind spending the money and if you do not want Chinese Manufactured scooters you should check this place out!

Without a doubt. The biggest customer service nightmare I've had in Albuquerque. Bought a brand new Kymco Scooter. With a warranty.Took it home. It's leaking gas everywhere.I should have known. It took them 5 hours to get it to run.Next day they tell me it's just new. This was the sales manager.A week later, take it back again.Mechanic adjusts idle good to go.Except ut's leaking gas. They can't get parts from Kymco dealer.3 months later I tell them take the carb out of the other 3 you haven't sold. Can't do that they said.Told Manager you sold me a scooter that leaks gas.The shyster said come on down. We'll get you a new scooter.Great! One catch. We'll give 1300 for the faulty scooter you bought. And I give them 600 for one that works.OMG.

DON'T BUY FROM SCOOT ABQ - THEY ARE CROOKS! These guys took a deposit from my parents who then decided not to purchase. They refused to give the deposit back! Told us it was nonrefundable, although nothing was signed saying as much. They are straight up crooks! I've called a dozen times trying to resolve, always given the run around. Now they won't even pick up unless I call from another line. Next step is small claims. ZERO STARS.

Horrible communication. I called the store multiple times with no one returning my calls. The sales manager never responded to my emails or text messages about the parts that were supposed to be ordered when I bought the bike. The parts were on back order but no one would return my call or text when I would ask for an update about the parts. I bought a brand new bike and there are broken parts on the bike and loose parts even though it "went through inspection" before buying. They told me my brake light was broken and their tech is new and not comfortable fixing that. I will NEVER do business with them again and I will be telling everyone I know not to do business here. Absolutely horrible.

Would give zero stars if possible. They are totally creeps and thieves. Don't trust them. Took a scooter here for repair and estimate after an accident and they couldn't be bothered to send one simple email.Took us coming in and watching them send it which was over 6 weeks after we brought it in. They are horrible people.Clearly they don't have much business because they have no idea how to run one. Never use them!

These guys are crooks. They made $2700 out of repairing my Piaggio Fly 150 after a woman hit it (while it was parked) in a parking lot. They had to replace most of the panels on the bike, but they also scratched most of the shiny new panels that they installed. They had to replace the battery, as it was also damaged, and they put in some crummy old battery, so that now it has trouble starting. Even better, when I mentioned the problem to them and brought it in, they had the balls to inform me that the engine compression was off and that they needed to rebuild or completely replace the engine. As my husband explained to me, if that were the problem, then it would not start at all. They were just trying to fool a woman, as I'm sure they're accustomed to doing. This is the only Vespa-authorized biz in town, so only they can order parts for you Italian-scooter fans. Go to Downtown scooters and order only your parts from the shop on Renaissance. These scoundrels are not to be trusted. Don't even trust their quotes---call Vespa and find out for sure how much each item really costs. Downtown scooters is good, and I wish I'd followed the advice that I'm giving here---I would then have a working scooter, such as I presently lack.Final straw: when they installed the last few panels on the bike, they didn't even remove their grubby fingerprints from, oh, all over the place. Dark, greasy thumbprints all over my shiny, newly scratched panels. And, they took the time to screw the gas cap on with manly strength, so that I could not possibly ever open it without help. How considerate! As a final measure of their dishonesty: the guy who handles most customer queries, Nick, blames everything that has ever gone wrong on the "old crew," who used to do everything wrong. Um... He is that old crew. Don't believe a word he says.

So I emailed them more times than I can recall about the fuel leak issue I have with my 2008 SYM HD 200 (and many, many others have the same problem if you look on the bulletin boards). It's had the problem since the first fifty miles and I still have less than 2k miles. They have NEVER replied to even ONE of my emails. Now I'm getting a lawyer. Great scooter. Horrible serivce. DON"T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! If I could give them zero stars I would.
