Gorgeous, authentic jewelry and one of the few Native-owned jewelry stores in Old Town. Customer service was excellent and I love my new earrings!

I dealt directly with one of the jewelry artists who has items for sale here. I met Alois Wagner when he was selling his work in the Old Town square. His work is beautiful, but he did not have a particular style in the stone I liked best. Mr. Wagner took the time to explain his work, including the symbols stamped inside the bracelet. He offered to custom-make a bracelet for me that I could pick up later in the week. He measured my wrist, took a tiny deposit and my phone number, and promised to be in touch. Much more than true to his word, he made THREE lapis bracelets for me to choose from. He wrote out all the information about the symbols and his signature so I would remember it, and gave the bracelet a last fine adjustment. I love his craftsmanship and enjoyed doing business with him. The shop, run by Mary, is full of beautiful goodies that please the eye and tempt your pocketbook. Very worth a stop on your walk through old town Albuquerque!

OK, I can't believe I'm the first to write a review of this store.Let's start with a confession. I'm from New York. I try to get to New Mexico once a year and I'd like that to be at least twice a year, but the reality is that I am a New Yorker. It could be worse. I could be a Texan. (rim shot)I like Indian crafts, both traditional and modern and I take great care to buy either directly from the artist or from someone dealing directly with the artists. There are some fakes out there and the farther you get from the artist the greater the risk. You may, or may not, find the specific item you want here, but they have a fine selection and you'll be "feeding near the bottom of the food chain," so to speak. So if you're visiting ABQ check them out. Nice range of prices and complexity. If you buy several items feel free to haggle over the total price.

The most authentic Native American jewelry in a warm, friendly, no pressure atmosphere. We went into this stop to be greeted by the very nice woman that worked there. She told us a little bit about the history of the shop and said she'd be happy to show us anything we'd like then left and us to browse. As it happened we were interested in looking at a few rings in the case. She happily pulled any square foam ring holder we wanted to see and had a lot of knowledge of each ring. We tried on quite a few things and there was never any awkwardness, impatience, or pressure. She even stayed open a little late so we could find something just right. Hiiiiiighly recommended.

it was the best, most authentic store in Albuquerque -- sadly I haven't been there for a long time and bought a few lovely things --- I know it's still the best -- can't wait to return!

Being from Oklahoma, I've seen plenty of low-grade Indian jewelry. I was surprised to see a shop associated with the Santo Domingo's. Speaking with one of the senior employees was quite delightful. She knew turquoise, the mines and the local trade. She told me the Santo Domingo do not make jewelry as a rule, and like the other local area shops the items in the store are generally Navajo, Zuni or Hopi-made. The difference is this particular shop is Indian-owned. Although the shop is a short block or so from the main old town square, it has been completely remodeled inside and still had that new construction aroma when we walked in (12/27/13). The selection of Navajo and Hopi money clips beat all the other shops and peddlers combined. I received a 20% discount from the marked price without asking.

BEWARE of this business. They will tell you that you can return jewelry bought there if a problem arises but they will not fix and return it to you. They will not call you back when they say they will. I have been dealing with this problem personally. I would not ever recommend this business to anyone! I fear they have already re-sold my ring :(
