Santa Ana Star Casino

Not a frequent casino guest at all, but i do like Santa Ana, not overly large and it's clean Came for a comedy show and enjoyed our evening, the slots gulped our gambling money quickly but an enjoyable evening anyway

My 2nd fave casino in ABQ! Love the vibe here. The dealers and guests are all very chill but don't get in the way of any grandma making her way to her favorite slot machine! You'll be ran over for sure!They've got it all here! Really like their Sportsbook and Sportsbar. Good, reasonably priced food. Husband loves any of the Blackjack tables. Doesn't feel as loud or chaotic as Isleta, where I am easily overstimulated on any given weekend. Great food options, from a fancy steakhouse to the cantina comedy club or fast service food options.Great place! Chill vibe. TV's galore! While the carpet could use an overhaul, it doesn't reek of cigarette smoke and is just a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon!

The casino is clean and well decorated. The Staff very friendly. We got checked in quickly. The casino area is also clean. I was just there for one night visiting a few friends and the room was great. Good view. It had all the essentials there. Strange enough, I couldn't find the iron in the room. The Juniper steakhouse was good. They close at 9 pm so be prepared and plan your day accordingly. They have large spaces for big parties. Great fireplace. Downside , they can't customize your drinks like normal bars can. They have a lot of pre-mixed items, so be aware of that. The Ahi tuna appetizer was good. I think they could've cut the Ahi little bit thinner, but still delicious. The must have is the side order of hatch chili mac & cheese It is a full blown meal all into its own. It was delicious!!Steak and mashed potatoes were delicious , according to my friends I went will. The waitress Karen was fun and friendly even though we were there well past 10 o'clock. They have an indoor outdoor pool which is great but warning you need to have a wristband in order to go in and out of the pool and they have an attendant that will watch as you go in and out and they will make you wear the wristband. You can't just hold it. You have to wear it. At least , that was the approach of the attendant when I was there. I will definitely go back and stay longer.

I was performing at Quezada's comedy club and did some gambling. I dunno if I'm addicted to gambling or addicted to buffalo but I love those slots. Was up, then down, then up, then down, then up, then looking into driving for Uber. Overall had a great time. Five stars - Dustin Ybarra

Very rude housekeeping staff at the hotel!Checkout is at 11am. At 10:50 am, as I'm gathering my bags to exit the room, housekeeping knocks and, while tapping her watch, admonishes me that we have to leave because checkout is at 11. We'll never stay here again.

The restaurant you have in the sports betting area is trash. For five bucks more I'd rather support a local restaurant in Bernalillo. Yall need to hire some better people. The food was mediocre @ best. Ya it was "affordable" so what do you expect in terms of quality but if you want affordability just go to ihop or Dennys. The quality was on that level if not worse. The waitress had one or two brain cells . It took her 25 minutes to bring back my friends change. Then she come back and says all this bs that the check can't be split up !? So my friend and I got up and went to the bar tender guy that seemed to be the one she was going up to for splitting my check with my friend. The bartender dude had the never to say "well, we couldn't process your payment because the money you gave us was fake." And he looked at us saying nah I'm just kidding trying to joke it off , and at this point i was already fuming . This place is a sht show . Don't go. Idiot people and trash food that only hills have eyes people enjoy . Zero stars

A nice place to have a conference (the ballrooms are nice). There's security at the door and parking is easy. Of course, there's free sodas and coffee. There's the Stage, the steakhouse, and plenty of and used to come bowling here. The food court has reasonable prices and has everything from fancy coffee, Navajo tacos, burgers, and Chinese. The pool looked nice, but wasn't open at the time. 2022 #52

We stayed here for 3 nights and I will explain my rating.The pros: Adequate and safe parking. The room was nice, comfy beds, nice large shower, TV, mini fridge, Keurig coffee and a safe in the room. The casino floor was spacious, clean, restrooms cleaned, food court had good food and the cost is cheap compared to eating out.The cons: the ID, temps checks every time you walk in is ridiculous (we don't do this in Oklahoma). Some the staff were rude and others were friendly and helpful. A big surprise is YOU CAN NOT BRIGNG ANY ALCOHOL into YOUR ROOM! SMH. Really.?The pool area is nice with 2 hot tubs however the security I assume was creep kept starring at us (the wife) and didn't allow kids to be kids.The floor machines didn't hit as much from the sounds of the machines.We stayed only because our rooms was comp to us. I wouldn't stay here until those concerns were addressed

Hotel complaint -bowling reservation late chk-inwas denied had to speak with manager -disrespectful employees made comments about not seeing signs posted about food in bowling area-during swimming time employee kept harassing us about kids being in hot tub-was told we could not take towels from swimming area to room otherwise would be charged $20 each towel.-while in casino area security approached from behind in an intrusive manner and asked to search diaper bag unprofessional approach on security behalfquestioned about her age to get into the gym and giving her the ID but her still not believing being 24 and when didn't respond right away she was thinking that was dodging the question and she says how come you keep changing your date of birth I just said I was in my 20s but she didn't give her like the specific number in her 20s and the lady was being very intrusiveand the security guy, laughing or chuckling when we mentioned talking to the governor.

Absolutely the worst management and extremely disrespectful to their patrons and guests.
