Sandia Casino Sports Bar

Bring back the roasted beet salad!!! Man, I am a carnivore. But the beet salad gave me cravings. Now it is gone. The chef got rid of it. The fries and onion rings came out old and cold, well, luke warm in the Big Game Basket. The Sandia Peak Nachos were not layered and became soggy quickly. How can you be New Mexican and not layer the nacho contents?! The grilled cheese is good and nicely extravagant with bacon onions and cheeses. Please let management know what you like and don't like. For some odd reason, the chef has decided to change things up. The menu is changing for the worse. There are more BBQ items. The pork ribs were over done but the rib was good. The brisket was tender and delicious. The sausages were good too. We had the Big Daddy BBQ platter. The only thing big about it was the poorly cooked fries. It's not $55 worth of food. My elderly parents finished it off with no problem. It's a Little Daddy Platter. We'll give the new items a try but this change feels dubious at the moment. The ambience is the same and it's loud with concrete circular bar, lots of glass, warehouse ceiling. There are plenty of TVs with all sorts of sports. This could be the sports bar for ABQ. But the quality of food, limited hours, gambling screen, and in consistent staffing issues all make this sports bar less lustrous. I spoke with Edgar, a manager. He was pleasant and said he would convey the notions in this review.

First, I called on Dec 24th and was told that the Sportsbook Bar would open at 11:00 on Christmas Day and they would be showing the Chiefs game. They were open at 11:00 but none of the screens had the Chiefs game on so we asked the bartender if they were going to play the game. She said they couldn't because they didn't have Netflix. The four of us decided we would stay and eat as opposed to running around trying to find a place to watch the game. When ordering drinks, I asked what garnishes came in the $12.00 Bloody Mary, the answer was that they could add a lemon, a lime, and olive. The drinks weren't very big, but ok. They couldn't make the mojito that was on the menu because they didn't have any mint.Two in our party ordered the Christmas special, one of us order nachos, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. They didn't have any pulled pork. I ordered the green chili cheese fries, they were pretty good. The nachos were huge, but appeared to be mostly chips. The two Christmas specials were not served hot, well except for the calabacitas. The dessert was very good.A waitress, that was not ours came by our table several times and updated us on the game, she was streaming it on NetFlix.All-in-all @Sandia Resort and Casino, you failed.

Went there after the Fiery Foods event! Not impressed, service was slow, the Bison Burger I ordered was not that great and not cooked the way I ordered it! Won't be back!

The food here is terrible. Super expensive for what you get. The nachos are a huge miss, the appetizer basket with mozzarella sticks and onion rings, is just frozen veggies that were heated up. Not fried fresh. The food is like 2 am drive thru quality or gas station quality. Not $15 per hot dog quality. It's a many place to have a drink there are lots of TVs and they are nice but this place is missing the boat on food and everything else.

Used to be a favorite watering hole for me. You can't beat the views.A year ago when ordering lunch, I ordered the BBQ Ribs which were excellent. I was really looking forward to eating them again.My order took a bit longer to arrive than expected. I sort of didn't mind as I prefer my food to be prepared properly. When the server finally arrived with my plate, I graciously thanked him. He never looked me in the eye or replied to my gesture. Rude.Here's where things really went south. The presentation of the ribs was disappointing. They looked like leftovers from the day before that were simply reheated and covered with BBQ sauce. No way were these ribs properly smoked or should have been considered a proper way to serve BBQ ribs.As I bit into them, they were tender. No complaints, but they tasted old and even had a strange taste to them. I hate complaining about food at restaurants while I'm sitting there trying to enjoy my meal. I appreciate the hard work the kitchen staff puts in. Of the seven ribs I was served, I only ate four. The poor, fake taste was not one bit enjoyable. Such a shame for a $30.00 order.I took the remaining ribs home and tossed them. I hate wasting food but I just couldn't eat them. In fact, I ended up with an upset stomach later.I rated this review 2 stars due to the poor quality of the food. No issues at all with the bartender, cleanliness, bathrooms, etc. I will go again but it'll be a long time before I order the ribs again.

WOW! Our first time and it was great! Good sports bar food, great huge round bar, great bar servers, great atmosphere,....Friendly people from all over. Plenty of big screens w various sporting events so you could keep an eye on your fave. We had their burgers and both were perfect. PLUS.... A fantastic view of our beautiful Sandia Mountain while you're there. Going back soon!!!

This was our first time here. We had seen a commercial on the TV about this place and wanted to try it out. It is located on the 3rd floor of the casino. So you have to follow the signs to get there. The day we went it was a Sunday, so the bar was packed full of fans watching their favorite teams. Greeted by a friendly staff at the front. We were able to get a seat right away, we didn't have to wait too long for a place to sit. Our waitress came by to get our drink orders. When we visited, we were there during the daytime, so the view was still spectacular. But I'm pretty sure at night, the view would be even better.As far as the menu goes, it did have a variety of options. Starters, salads, burgers, sandwiches, specialities; that included crab legs and a cowboy steak. Yummy. We opted for something we thought would be good. We tried the Sandia Peak Nachos and the Not your average BLT sandwich which we got sweet potato fries with. I must say we were disappointed in the nachos. The steak was okay, but the cheese served on top of the chips did not taste that great. And for $20, I would say make a homemade cheddar cheese sauce. It seriously just tasted like it was the canned nacho cheese stuff. The BLT sandwich was good, served with a fried egg. That just made it taste better. That is a good one to have.Maybe the next time we visit we'll try something else besides that starter we had. There were a lot of patrons there as well, so I'm pretty sure this place has many that visit. Service was okay, although we didn't get a lot of refills without having to raise our hands to ask for it. You just never know these days. But we will be back for another try.

Fun place, food is not bad however the patio speakers are horrible, they cut in and out and super loud, we ended up leaving because it was so bad, it's unfortunate because it's a beautiful patio.

Poor service, very bad food, and a manager with an an extremely unprofessional and rude attitude. One of the worst dining experiences ever, and I am not exaggerating.
