If you're hungry for made from scratch cinnamon rolls - or anything else on their menu - you are in the right place! Huevos Rancheros are my particular favorite. It's embarrassing.... I lick the plate.

First stop when arriving to Santa Fe, recommended by 12 best restaurants in Santa Fe, we went for breakfast, I've been wanting Huevos rancheros for awhile since I had years ago in Old Town San Diego. The restaurant is super cute! Service was pleasant, food was good, ordered Huevos Rancheros, but somehow it didn't seem as good as what I remembered, I found an old photo had taken of my Huevos rancheros from Old Town, and as I remembered it was better, but overall it was a good breakfast, there is a feed store out back, old school look, was a nice walk around, also they have chicken, ducks, turkeys and peacocks out back, there all in cages, which kind of weird

I do not recommend this place.I can't explain it, but I felt extremely uncomfortable here. I did not like the way they were treating the young bus boy. It was just uncomfortable. My meal was not good. I do NOT recommend the San Marcos burrito. The prices were not updated so when I got my bill I felt overcharged from what the menu stated. They have peacocks. And Parking. It wasn't worth it. Food didn't taste good. Service was uncomfortable. I'm not going back.

I have been coming to The San Marcos Cafe for over 25 years. I try to visit whenever I'm in Santa Fe. The atmosphere is Santa Fe Funky and the food is always great. When there is a fire in the fire place you won't find a more cozy place to be!

Awesome place!!! I love visiting locally owned places that I never get to experience back at home. Well worth the drive from Santa Fe! Only open till about 2 pm I believe. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and the server was very friendly. Loved the hash browns (but they were actually potatoes). The place looks like it was once a home and turned into a restaurant. Get there early because the tables were all pretty full when we got there t 10:30.Additional: Animal farm outside. Saw 2 pony's, peacocks everywhere, some chickens and turkeys. Nice little photo op spots!

The best breakfast EVER!! This is a hidden spot and when we were there it was full of locals. The ambience is really cozy. I ordered half blintz- it was so delicious with cream filling inside topped with raspberry sauce. I also had spinach bake over scrambled eggs served with hash browns. It was sooooo good and was served with their house made garlic bread. Husband had breakfast burrito. Their sauce is out of the world delicious. The french toast is one of the best we have ever had. It is a must order!! We also ordered cinnamon bun. It was crunchy on the outside and soft of the inside. It was huge though, 2-4 people can easily share it. Make sure to put some butter on it and it will take the flavor to the next level. All in all, great flavor packed food with great customer service. This is a must try if you are traveling on the turquoise trail. Hidden gem, that I really hope stays hidden ;-)

Forgot to add--cinnamon rolls were served cold. Coffees weren't refilled. Nothing good about our experience.
