Granted, I was there about 3+ years back, but I feel compelled to report on my experience nonetheless. I went in to find an extension hose for a kitchen faucet my Dad and I were installing in my home. Customer service is non-existent. The sole reason for going there, was previous positive experiences of my Dad's along with our wanting to get some extra TLC from a smaller, local shop. Not only was the guy indifferent, we ended up feeling we didn't know what we were asking for or whether what we needed even existed. We ended up going to Lowe's. We asked someone for help and she knew immediately what we needed, led the way, and handed it right to us. We were in and out in minutes; plus felt so relieved we could complete our project. Not sure about my Dad, but I've not been back their since. We often speak (and actually laugh) about the experience there. So, guess something did come out of it: a good laugh!

Good folks! They are always friendly and helpful. Went today. I bought a nozzle for a garden hose that is solidly built at a very reasonable price. My husband needed to repair the bathtub, so he bought an assembly that was easy for him to install and had the tub working like new in no time. Have gone to Samon's for years. We always get good advice on repairs. Definitely recommended.

Samons has been my go-to place for maintaining my rental properties which are nearby the Menaul store. They always ask if I need help and get me on my way promptly. They have some items that the big box store doesn't have, especially for older properties with "unique" plumbing challenges. Nobody knows evap coolers better than Samons. If you need it, they have it. Great stuff. Keep it up, Samons!

Samon's has consistently had plumbing parts and expertise to help find them that the big box retailers don't have. This is now my go to place for plumbing.

I've been shopping at Samon's for almost 3 decades and they have yet to let me down. You walk in to be greeted by SUPER helpful folks who are knowledgeable and cheerful. Prices are in line with the big box guys and often lower. Their selection on plumbing related items is superior to their competition as well. Drive up, park close, walk in and tell them what you need. They will literally walk you right up to it, boom you're done. I buy my plumbing and electrical items there in preference to the other guys because it's fast, easy, and I always leaving there feeling satisfied. They often have large items (appliances, furnaces etc..) on sale at prices that just can't be beaten and their kitchen cabinets and bathroom fixtures are easy to buy and as with everything else, priced right. There simply is no better choice than Samon's in the Albuquerque area unless you actually LIKE wandering around a big box for hours in search of what you need lol.Last time I was there was to buy pads and a pump for a cooler startup. I was in and out in LESS THAN 5 MINUTES with exactly what I needed. Try that elsewhere! They have the best inventory of those fantastic aspen cooler pads in Abq btw. Try the extra thick ones, you'll love how cold they make your cooler or double up the regular ones for crazy cold air.

Always helpful and have the parts to fix any plumbing problem. Usually faster than walking around The big stores.

Their website sucks. Absolutely useless. I wouldn't waste my time visiting any of their stores not knowing what products they do or don't carry.

This review concerns Samon's store #12, in Rio Rancho. I'm writing this review on the same day as I went to the store. Although I live relatively close to this facility, I hadn't been there in about 10 years. But today, I needed a few things to get started on a project. When I arrived at the store, there was a handwritten sign on the automatic entrance door to push it because the doors were either not working or had been disabled. As I walked in I noticed how dark and dreary the store looked. The "decor" was something out of the 1950's. No one greeted me when I entered even though I could three or 4 employees. There was nothing to indicate where I might start looking for the items I wanted to purchase. The aisles are marked "3 A/B, but there are no categories or products. As luck would have it, I found similar items to the thing I needed in the first aisle I turned into. But the selection was sparse. When I found my item, there were two: one of one kind and another of a slightly different sort. I couldn't read the price because it wasn't clearly marked and was very faint and faded. I guessed what the price was and then moved on to my next item, which happened to be at the end of the same aisle. Again, there were only two choices of product. This time I could barely make out the price at all, even after putting on my reading glasses. When I exited that aisle, one of the employees asked if I was finding everything okay. I asked where I might find my third item. He showed me where it was. Again, the choices were very limited and I ended up selecting something that would suffice, but wasn't really what I wanted. I went to what I thought was the checkout desk. One employee was fiddling around with one of the computer terminals. The other acted as if it would put him out too much if he had to help me, and seemed to do so reluctantly. While I was standing there waiting, I looked over to the section of the desk where the other employee had been. There were four drawers festooned with names and papers stuck on and a negative political bumpersticker about a certain national political candidate from 2016. Folks are free to support the candidate his or her choice, but this sticker should not have been on display in the public area of the store. The guy who was helping me handed me came back. I was ready to hand him my money, but instead he handed me a piece of paper to take to a different checkout station a few paces away. I gathered my items and walked over there. The woman at the cash register was friendly, but the poor thing was sick and barely had a voice. I paid for my items, received my change and left. I won't be going back. The store is dreary and depressing, the selection very limited, most of the staff indifferent (except for the sick lady).

Very helpful & courteous. They didn't have the part I needed for a broken sink handle, but they recommended where to get it locally.
