Decent food option at the Sawmill in Albuquerque. Walk up, place order, wait for food and then find general seating inside or outside. The fish and chips were ok. Chips better than the fish. The green chile clam chowder was AMAZING! Highly recommend. Disappointing that the only drinks they had were Coke and Coke Zero. Not even a bottle of water.

I remember when your couldn't find decent fish and chips anywhere in the 505. And now there are great spots popping up all over the place. Add this spot to your list! Perfect crunch, moist fresh fish inside, perfect fries with just the right amount of seasoning and some great sauces with just enough spice. It's also a very healthy serving of goodness! We split this basket and were almost too full for dessert (almost). Go try out this fresh new counter at Sawmill for some quick friendly service and an exceptional new option for 505 fish and chips!

The diverse palette offerings at Sawmill Market in ABQ are enough to keep you coming back over and over again to try something new! The hustle and bustle of of people is something that I've Missed! However, this review is about the Salty Catch, so let's get it! I'm a sucker for PO boys and I've tried my fair share. From New England to the Pacific Northwest, I've had some good ones, and maybe that set the bar way too high! However , when I saw this place at Sawmill I had to try it! The menu, due to venue space is quite small and has the basics. I chose the Lobster Poboy. For a not so busy day, it took quite awhile for me to get my Poboy but when I got it... it looked darn good. It had a healthy drizzle of aioli and cocktail sauce. And five nugget size fried lobster pieces, on a huge roll! First the roll drowned out everything! Way too big for the amount of crab. The drizzles of sauces also drowned the lobsters. The poor lobsters were swimming for their lives in all of it! It was hard to bite and I had to get a technical with my approach to eating it! Every bite seemed like all I could taste was sauce and bread! My poor lobster bites had no chance! In the end I tore my bread in half... stuffed all the lobster I had left into a portion of the bread, and enjoyed the rest. All in all it wasn't bad, but the lobster itself lacked that umpffffff All in all, it wasn't bad, but with some tweaks, it could be better! Lastly, the service was a bit flat. Not that you need to have a convo, but the welcoming and "can I get you anything else" attitude was definitely it present! I would flock to Sawmill but I'm not to high on Salty... maybe I'll give the other items a try!

Trash Po boys like everyone else said. Woman at the counter and the roll were great. The guy back there? Playing w his nasty hair and sitting on the counter? Also, it's telling there's no response from them Ps That's not lobster.

Staff just wanted your order no engagement! Food was raw, the grease must have been to hot because the breading was over done and the fish and scallop were raw in the middle. A complete disappointment for the money! To much to choose from to go there.

I have to agree with some of these reviews. Salty Catch definitely needs to work on their flavor game.I got the fish and chips, and the chips were fine (but how badly can you mess up fried potatoes anyway?).The fish, while crispy on the outside and moist on the inside had ZERO flavor. Like none. Zip. Nada. It was basically an insipid fried plank used to convey tartar sauce into my mouth.

This place was solid! The shrimp that is in the shrimp and grits is irresistible and the soup of the day (shrimp bisque) was a great compliment. Loved every bite

Two stars instead of one because the fish was delicious. Expensive. You get 3 pieces of fish, a boat load of fries that were terrible. If you ask for tartar or ketchup, they act as if you're asking them for a loan . They don't sell or give water. They send you to a bar for a cup or tap water. Get a fish sandwich at McDonald's, you'll get condiments and water. We won't be back. TOURIST TRAP!

This place was recommended to me, so I came and tried their fish and chips with a coke. It was $25, and was pretty average. The fish and fries were both just ok without much flavor, and strangely enough, could really have used some salt. I would have asked for it at the counter, but the two employees were very busy and were not ready to engage with me.I ordered at the counter and was given a buzzer to signal me when my order was ready. After 20 minutes, spent watching my companions finishing their lunch which was purchased from another quicker vender, I went back to the counter to see how long it would be. As i approached, one the employees placed an order on the counter, made eye contact with me, and then headed back to the kitchen without saying a word to me. Turned out it was my order, and my buzzer went off, but she didn't know that. So, the service and the food could be much better, and there are better choices here under the same roof.

This spot was inside the Sawmill market. I was originally drawn to the lobster poboy which is one of the top 2 for many customers supposedly but I went with the other top choice, the fish and chips. It definitely did not disappoint. I loved how meaty the fish was and how crunchy the outside was. AND the fries were amazing! The seasoning on those fries
