When the service is working, it's fine. We live in an area where we cannot get DSL or Cable...so RR makes for a very acceptable solution. HOWEVER, they do experience somewhat frequent outages. AND YOU CAN'T REACH ANYONE BY PHONE. First, they aren't open on weekends at all. And when they say they're open M-F, 9-5...that's pretty spotty. I usually call and leave message with service, billing and sales. Because NO ONE answers any of those extensions. And when you DO miraculously reach someone...there is never an apology. Never an offer of some kind of credit, even if you've been out of service for a couple of days (one winter, we were down for 4-5 days and were still charged the same).Yes, they offer a service few others do...but they struggle to show decent accountability to their clients. As I said, the service is fine when it works...but oh my gosh, the struggles I've had with them when I need help!!

Have had their service for about 7ish years. Most of the service was good. The past couple years the service has been terrible. The straw that broke the camels back was for the past month I have had internet speeds between .5-.7meg/sec, I am paying for 10meg/sec. During the past month I have called their support personnel approximately 25 times and have been blown off. Their service said it'd take care of itself and to wait. I think waiting a month was enough. I called to cancel my service on March 17 and left 2 messages which were not returned. Finally in March 18th I finally got a sales person "Bryan" and I cancelled my service. He told me that I needed to pay for April service as they require payment for 30 days after service is discontinued. I feel that since I already paid for March and cancelled on 18March they owed me a refund for the remainder of March. He then told me that he'd offer me a 25% discount for the month of April of which I would not be receiving service as it was cancelled on 18 March. At this point I decided the conversation was over and politely ended the phone call. It is obvious they are looking for a buck and could care less about providing service. If you're stuck with RoadRunner as you only provider I pity you, if you can get anyone else that'd be your best choice. These guys don't deserve your business nor do they provide value for the dollar. Bottom line "Stay away . . . Very Very Far Away"

Beware of Road Runner Wireless, they are absolutely dreadful. I wanted to use a local company because I was tired of Comcast and Century Link, but they were 10 times worse. They promised I would receive five megs and I never received more than one meg. They removed their equipment and took the modem I bought outright and promised to refund my money and never have. Brandon kept saying he had to send the check, but was waiting on his boss, but they never sent it. Stay away, this company is pure trash!!!

So far so good. I got them when I was TERMINATED , yes terminated, by the alcoholic, passive aggressive owner of Higher Speed Internet. Check out the post by the Disabled VET he ripped off . Of course, here on YELP. He terminated me for complaining about my service. So far everything has been fine with Road Runner. Sounds like ALL of the Internet Providers out there better wake up and listen to their customers. Clue Terminating them for complaining about your sh*t service is a no go. Hoping that Road Runner will turn out to be a better service. Oh and at least Road Runner is honest. I termed HSI early and Stevie boy at HSI charged my bank card for another month! Keepin' fingers crossed and hoping for the best. I'll do an update soon

Wow, just wow. It is just so great to have stable dependable internet and so unusual in Cochiti Lake. I am just so happy I found them. This is an update to a previous review. I previously gave them 4 stars but they deserve 5. Thanks RWSI for your great service.

For several years they gave good service, with good speed and reliability. But the last two years it's degraded until now it's not really usable. My log is showing their 5Mbps at only 522Kbs and with over 20s latency. That means even that slow speed is also pausing for seconds at a time so a simple web page may not load fully. Every once in awhile it goes up to over 4Mbps but doesn't stay long. When their service tech came out he couldn't fix it, and they have no answers. Fortunately, I'm on a monthly so this will be canceled in two weeks.

I can't say this enough. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We signed up for service with them and everything was fine for about a week. Then we had no service at all. My husband and I called several times. I'm talking like 10-15 times between the both of us and either had to leave a message that no one returned or was told we woke be called back with a resolution and no-one ever called back. after about 2 weeks of this I called to cancel and left a message. of course they called back then but just to say it's a 200 cancellation fee. I let them know again about all the issues we were having but the guy didn't care he just again said its a 200 cancellation fee. I told him I was not going to pay 200 for service that I don't have and his suggestion was to keep paying the monthly bill until the contract was up. this place is a joke. they will not be getting my money and you shouldn't trust them with yours.
