Summer fest is back on, 2022 finally, a little normality.Recommend parking at the lomas and university parking lot and ride the bus rather then spend time trying to find a parking spot. Lots of things going on. Kids jumpers even. You name it you got it here. While hot it is great to be out.Everything us free

Okay, but not impressed! I expected more concessions, art and more things for kids to do! Was okay for adults, but really not impressed! Good day to get out and walk! Nice that they had a lot of water areas!

We literally walked from one end to the other. The one thing that I love about Summerfest hands down - regardless of the location - is the people watching! You can't beat it. This location had a killer 'car display'. Kept us entertained the whole way. When we arrived we parked on the east side of Washington. We were so hungry. We came across two food trucks and neither of them appealed to us. So we popped in to N'awlins and thankfully stumbled upon on an open table on the patio. Cornbread Blues - a local blues trio (after a while became a quartet) - were entertaining the folks on the patio. Awesome! All in all Summerfest was a-ok with us. It gave us something to do on Saturday night that was free to enjoy. Thanks COA!

If you are bored in Albuquerque, then you are just not trying. Summerfest is one of those event in the Duke City that you just have to go to. All the stores are open, bands are playing all over, there are booths set up with food, crafts and various other wares, there is a beer area filled with local beers and even the distilleries, and a classic car show. Walk around and check it all out!Make sure to wear a hat and sunscreen - shade is fairly rare. I'd love to see some a bunch of additional booths from more local artisans and crafts people, but what they have is awesome.

Summerfest is a wonderful time. The only issue we had is how they corral you, if you wanted a beer. Our group had to step inside a gated area, away from the festival. Our local beer vendors are part of who we are here in ABQ. I get checking id's and all of that, but we couldn't take part in the festival. It was a hot day, and it would have been nice to walk around with our beer. Fun but very disappointed.
