This little pet salon offers wonderful rewards!I saw 3 dogs waiting for pick up, each one looked perfect!Laurie was kind enough to take me as a walk infor my cat to have her nails c lippedWell, she tried but was only able to cut 3 pawsTeddi was growling and snarling, it was scary,I do think Laurie handled it beautifully

We had our Bullmastiff Odin groomed by the folks at Route 66 pet salon today. They were very easy to make an appointment with. The location is bright and happy with easy access. The service went very well. Odin came home happy and clean with nails trimmed. We have a new go to groomer.

Second time using this place. I'm not going anywhere else! They made it sooo easy. Drop them off day what you need or they will suggest things that need done. Way easier than Petco. They treated my friend so well and Hank looks like a million bucks. Even with his tumor, they took special care around the area! He was so high energy and happy when we left! Give Them a try. The owner Laura was awesome and so was her crew!!!

My Australian shepherd mix grows a lot of hair fast, and taking her to the big box store to be groomed 2-3 times per summer gets expensive. However, I will be taking her to Route 66 Pet Salon in the future! I was able to book an appointment the day after I called. I feel my dog was in good hands, and she looks and smells lovely after her grooming. The salon is easy to get to from I-40, and such a better value than anyplace else I've tried. I loved the kind, homey atmosphere as well. Thank you, Route 66 Pet Salon!

I have been taking all 5 of my pets to Laura and the gang for several years now and have never been disappointed ! My cats are Persian and Himalayan they get shaved during the summer months with a Lion cut, they love it and look awesome. My 3 dogs receive baths, nail trims, gland care and the Shih Tzu also gets cut on a regular basis. They always look good and smell wonderful. The prices are very competitive as well.Pam

Great for dogs--not a bird grooming service--but I was hoping. I hope they stay in the neighborhood since there are a lot of pet friendly buildings around and they are a conscientious pet groomer that your dog could walk to.

Couldn't be happier. Took my Wheaten Terrier, Finley, in for grooming and they couldn't have been nicer. Everyone was so pleasant and kind. Picked Finley up a few hours later and he looked and smelled amazing. They followed all my instructions. They also have fantastic prices! We'll be back again. Thank you.

Used this groomer for 10 months without any major issues. The salon was usually unkept and I needed to repeatedly remind Laura how I preferred my pooch trimmed (even though notes were kept and reviewed). Chalked it up to too many clients...so easy to lose track. 66 Pet Salon prices are lower than many which made tipping easier, always a bonus. I choose to tip generously because I want the groomer to remember my pup and I appreciate that a groomer is like a childcare worker. I need to TRUST that my pup is in good, pup-loving hands. Despite my best efforts, the last 66 grooming experience was eerily similar to Leah G's posting below. The cut was poor, uneven and choppy. The worst part...my soft boy was TRAUMATIZED. He was terrified, confused and listless. His spine was tweaked in at least 5 spots (yes...I AM a physician). He cried out when I gently palpated his back. Even after addressing the physical trauma, it was several days before my boy regained some confidence and began to interact more normally with his canine siblings. It will take weeks of working with him to rid him of the fear 66 Pet Salon induced. Usually a happy, friendly pup, he no longer trusts other humans. He now trembles and cowers when others approach him.I recall reading Leah G's review last year and thinking..."Oh... she must just have a beef with the salon or be a difficult customer because I've never seen any of that." Obviously not the case folks! I have taken time to post this review because I want other dog parents to be fully informed. I believe there are many more 66 Salon scenarios where pups were mistreated, and the parents just went somewhere else...not taking the time to post. We all get free will, how we exercise that is our choice but as dog parents we, alone are responsible for keeping our babies safe. Saving money is always nice but be aware that using 66 Grooming once or a hundred times...this could absolutely happen to your sweet baby.

We took our dog to get groomed. He was there for 3 hours and when we picked him up he was patchy everywhere. They said would fix him if we brought him a different day, which was a no from me seeing how everyone looked stoned out of their minds. No wonder he looked so bad. The store looks like a dirty run down second hand store. Do not bring your pets here.

They are great with our two dogs. Also, very fast. Our cocker spaniel and poodle/terrier mix have both bee very matted at different times and they come back very well groomed and very happy.
