Over priced Americanized food. Owners are take it or leave it kind of people. Where not willing to even give a taste of the meat to see if we wanted to order or not

I've been eating Roque's green chili tamales for over a decade. We come to Santa Fe once a year and I always look forward seeing him and having the best tamales in the world.

Don't pass up this food cart. It's conveniently parked on the plaza. We had a lamb burrito and a chicken burrito. Ask for cilantro and green chili sauce - you'll love it. These are not your Americanized burritos filled with rice, beans, avocado and so on. These are super fresh tortillas filled with slow cooked meat and onions. There are several meat choices - bison, chicken, lamb, and more. Really good eats.

Roque and his cart on the Plaza, incredible! I ate here almost 20 years ago in the early 2000's and remember how good his Carnitas were. So, upon my return to Santa Fe I was delighted to find Roque and his cart in the same familiar spot adjacent to the Plaza. Order his Carnitas, which aren't the ubiquitous pork Carnitas but rather slow roasted steak with spices, wrapped in a tortilla with onions and pico de gallo. Have a seat on a bench, enjoy the unique flavors and watch some people go by. A rather enjoyable Santa Fe experience.

Hate to do it. Guy is AWESOME and his helper is AWESOME too. But for the price, those "carnitas" are just not that great. Little strips of meat grilled with some onions and peppers in a tortilla. Add some salsa. HIGHLY underwhelming. The tamale though, THAT was excellent!

Viva La Street Meat!I cannot say I've had one of Roque's carnitas. For that I can only plead bad timing. I had just finished lunch. However, I have had one of Roque's tamales and can report that they are the perfect 2 bite snack. It was the perfect tamale and gone too soon from this earth. But for the time it was here, it was loved and loved dearly.Roque is, as reported, a hell of a character and available for Bar Mitzvahs. When I go back and get my carnitas, Roque will surely get his fifth star.

Roque's Carnitas are a Santa Fe institution. It's perfect for a lunch while sitting peacefully on the Plaza. The carnitas are spicily, deliciously meaty. Roque is a character. He also makes a refreshing jamaica (hibiscus juice) It is DEFINITELY local flavor. As Santa Fean as it gets. It's a place that Guy Fieri would bless with his presence (he was at the Sonoma Plaza, so a plaza is a plaza is a plaza) One can watch the carnitas be made. Looong before food trucks were the in thing, Roque had his place. It's a taste of the Land of Enchantment!

Love street food. The fajita and tamales were FANTASTIC . Nice shaded tables nearby. If you are walking around the plaza the aroma of the cooling fajitas will get you on the way to the stand. Yummy
