Romo's Boot & Shoe Repair

yes I slept behind your boot repair shop late at night but do not worry I didn't vandalize your building or steal from you or break in I just needed somewhere to rest & hideout it was dark & I was tired of walking. I like the design on your building it's really cute. I was only here for like a hour or two.

Owner asked me out several times. I politely declined but I feel my denial affected service provided. I'm a 50 year old woman. Was not in any way flirting with him. He still has a pair of boots he did not respond to me about fixing (or if they are not fixable). This was back in the second week of Dec 2021. I felt not great about the interaction and decided just to buy my son a new pair of boots rather than face going back there. I do not like how I felt. I tried to work through it as he did do a good job fixing other shoes. But it is just not worth how uncomfortable I feel going in there. After the last time (when I dropped) of the the boots. I felt he was irritated when I politely told him I don't want to go out with him. Each time he was more pushy. I don't feel this is professional. I tried but my gut tells me to look elsewhere for a shoe repair shop. They are rare and hard to find. I wish this did not happen.

We are very pleased with this shop. The strap on My granddaughters flamenco shoes broke - and they are expensive shoes so we stopped at Ramos and he fixed the strap, widened the heel where he saw she had put bandaids and sent her on her way. He knows how to fix flamenco shoes and their metal soles so it is a relief to know we have somewhere to take them.

Thank you for fixing a brand new shoe for a wedding. We were unable to return them to the store to be replaced. Good service, great quality of work. Can't even see the repair! Reasonable price.

This place used to provide great service. Not anymore!! I dropped off a pair of shoes to get resoled on 12/16/21 and did not get them back until 1/2/2022 after he told me it would take a couple weeks! He had a couple excuses on why he was not done. Deaths in the family. Waiting on a part to fix his 1954 stitching machine. One shoe has a defective looking sole. I have called twice with no response. I go by daily since I live in the area and he is constantly closed. No wonder he requires his customers to pre-pay!!! I highly discourage giving him your business!!! Many other choices around Abq!!!

I called to ask if to see how much a repair would cost on my boots which I had for only 3 months. I went to Romos boot repair because I was in the area , I walk in had him take a look at the problem I had with the boots. He said he could fix it , I asked how long it would take him to do it , he said 15 min , I took my boots off right there and waited . Sure enough he got them repaired in 15 min . Now thats Customer service !! Very impressive, I walked out of there with my boots repaired. Made my Day !! Very happy customer . Great job :)

Not sure where to take shoes in Albuquerque to be repaired but Romo's Boot & Shoe Repair is definitley not it. We recently took a pair of shoes in to get a stick repaired. We were told it would take two weeks and he would call us when they were ready. We stopped by twice during posted open hours only to find the shop closed. We called after three weeks and he had still not touched them. We called after another week and received the same answer, still no done. Finally we said we were just going to pick them up and he replied they would be ready in 30 minutes. Picked them up and found he had sewn a large crease/indentation into the shoe making them unwearable. After over a month and entirely too much money for such a small repair the boots are ruined. Will try a different shop next time.

I took my favorite pair of boots here to have the soles repaired. He said it would take two weeks, but to my surprise they were finished early! The new soles are so comfortable and he even cleaned them up a bit and they look brand new! I'm so happy with the job he did for my favorite pair of shoes!
