Great folks. I've been buying from them for years. They measure your load and don't cheat you on wood. Small, local business.

At this point Romero's is my go to spot for firewood. I've checked out plenty on craigslist and the storefront places around ABQ and for my needs it is well worth the short drive to Bosque Farms to deal with these good people. Romero's has a well done & informative website and a sizable inventory of split firewood for you to choose from. I was able to get a nice quantity of oak which I will use for both smoking meat and is excellent for home heating. The guys at the woodyard are honest, generous and gave me a very good price. I was allowed to select the pieces I wanted from a huge pile, loaded them up myself and was on my way. They also will deliver if that suits you better. I love discovering and giving my business to places like Romero's Firewood!

I had been going to Romero's Firewood Yard in Bosqque Farms for the last 6 years and aways got a fair deal on firwwood. I would load my pickup myself, pay John (a wonderful" kind man who works for the bysiness) and be happily on my way. But now, the owner is getting just downright greedy. Now they put wood in bags that is less than 1/3 of a cord and charge 3 times as much. You ger what you get in the bag. A lot of small pieces and overtly long pieces. I had to cut 1/2 of the wood myself so it wouls fit in my wood stove. I regrettably bought a bag of Cedar for $100 00 and when I unloaded it and was disappointed. Less than a 1/3 of a cord for $100.00. Are you kidding me? It is a major, big time rip off. Stay clear of Romero's unlees you like being cheated. Very, very disappointed. I read a review of soneone who wrote a review saying they ordered 3 cords and 1 and 1/2 cords was delivered. The person paid for 3 cords I believe them whole heartedly. The BBB gives Rometo"s an F. Stay away from these swindlers and scallywags.

We've been buying from Romero's for 11 years. This year we found him in SW Albuquerque. Purchased a cord of oak $500. When we started to split it the wood was obviously GREEN! Marcus has failed to make it right. We're done. I've lost faith in humanity.

I had been a returning customer of Marcus's for many years, and you would think he would treat his loyal customers accordingly. But after his last delivery I will never do business with him again. I ordered 3 cords of wood and he shorted me about 1.5 cords. Just like other reviewers have stated he dumped a ton of dirt and debris consisting of wood chips into my yard. I sent him pictures of it and spoke with him over the phone just to be cursed at. Very unprofessional. Since then he has been ignoring my calls and text messages. Furthermore, on the delivery truck only one layer of wood was stacked vertically in the back to hide the fact that the rest was just dumped in with a bulldozer along with a ton of dirt and debris. Wood deliveries are supposed to be accompanied by a receipt, but don't expect one from Marcus. The Better Business Bureau gives him an "F" rating and others who have been ripped off by him as well have voiced their complaints here: https://www.bbb.org/new-mexico-southwest-colorado/business-reviews/firewood/romero-s-firewood-in-bosque-farms-nm-99143406/reviews-and-complaints?section=complaints
