Rise + Roast

I made a mistake thinking they give free donuts "just because." Lol more like they give you a free plain glazed donut for getting a dozen donuts as a Baker's Dozen!

I had to come check out some of their summer specials after seeing them on Instagram.I got an iced Matcha with strawberry cold foam and a peach mochi donut. I will see you there. The mochi donut isn't the best I have had but for here in ABQ it's the only one I've found.The matcha was delightful. Seriously, the perfect summer drink. The only thing I thought about is maybe I could've tried it with coconut milk. Next time. I went through the drive-through, and it was fast as always, and the service was friendly.

I've had takeout doughnuts from this place and they were very good and delicious. From what my wife said the folks at the counter were efficient and courteous. The place has a modern coffee shop vibe. Good choice for coffee and a treat/lunch.

I went through the drive thru. It's very convenient that they have one. They were very pleasant and my first thought was that the customer service was excellent. I ordered the sugar free salted caramel mocha with whipped cream. It was really good, actually! Since I didn't enter the cafe itself I really cannot comment on the ambiance, but there is plenty of parking and it looks clean from the outside.

Very friendly and fast service. Small place but cute. Plenty of flavors for coffee. We tried Carmel and lavender honey, both are great!

We were headed to Colorado for a family reunion. As we passed through Albuquerque the KOA staff said it was the best! It is new looking, clean and once inside we we greeted warmly by all of the staff. The pastries were top notch. In particular the cinnamon roll was ginormous and delicious. We all picked at it for hours on the drive. Tasty to the last bite! The kids had smoothies which they devoured. My coffee was also wonderful. We loved the atmosphere and food & drinks and would regular this place if we lived near by. We highly recommend all who are near to give this business some attention.

Placed an order for pickup. I get a text saying my order is ready. I get there and there is someone ordering in front of me. When he is done it takes a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge me which is fine, they're busy. But then when I ask for my order they give me my doughnuts and then I still have to wait for my coffee to be made. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of ordering ahead for pick up (and then why text me saying it's ready?)? On top of this I ordered my latte extra sweet and it definitely wasn't sweet, barely sweet at all. They had some good doughnuts but I was disappointed in the sugar cookie which was just a regular vanilla doughnut with vanilla frosting (pretty decorations on it but I can get that no matter the season). Their other seasonal doughnuts are pretty good though hence the 3 stars. But I won't be going back. I'll go back to Amy's or two boys

We recently tried Rise + Roast after seeing the reviews. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to them. Not even close. We were very disappointed with both the donuts and the customer service. We ordered several Apple Fritters, but were hard pressed to find the apples in any of them. I saw one small bit of apple in all of the fritters. We also ordered the blueberry cake donut and the glaze was so thick it overpowered the taste of the actual donut, which wasn't that impressive to begin with. The customer service was very slow, they were abrupt, unpleasant, and didn't remember our drinks. They also got the box all sticky from handling the donuts, and didn't care that they did when I said something. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and would never go back.

Phenomenal donuts. We tried cake and raised. The raised won by a hair. But let's talk Boston cream filled goodness and a strawberry lemonade special that packed PUNCH into it's lemony goodness. We arrived pretty late for a Saturday and there were still choices. Yum!
