Rio Grande Fruits and Vegetables

This little market has local and Hispanic specialties. A sign announcing pinons caught my eye. Unfamiliar with this New Mexican fave, I was thrilled to finally try them. Apparently, you don't eat the outer shell. Good to know. I found out a little too late. They roast hatch chiles there. There's dessert empanadas (lemon, apple and right now pumpkin), tortillas, Mexican candies, tomatillos, other fruits and veggies, etc... Staff were outgoing and very helpful.

Best place to buy red chili, great local flavor if your down in the south valley you must drop by for something.
