The outfit goes above and beyond what is expected from a normal outfitter. Ethan was an awesome guide on my antelope hunt and even got my shot on film. If you are looking for one of the best guides in New Mexico then I'd definitely recommend him. He's not just a good guide but a great person. Very friendly and talkative and gets the job Done and done right. If your looking to book your next trophy hunt for any big game in New Mexico I'd definitely recommend giving Ridgeline Outfitters a call. They not only book your hunt but provide meals and lodging, (depending on the package you buy) I've seen the cooks go above and beyond on making sure they cook the types of food that everyone is wanting. I would 1 million percent recommend going with Ridgeline outfitters for your next trophy hunt!

Worst outfitter ever. Do not waste your money. Took over 10,000 dollars and didn't have the balls to come see us at camp. Made the guide meet him at the end of the road. COWARD!!!!!!!

Dan Is a Crook. took our money and the guides and land owner told us. Dan Knows there are no elk here until rifle season. After traveling from colorado to NM. I tipped guides and cooks very well it was not their fault and we left after day 3. Dan agreed and said he would refund us some money. Had to call to find out where refund was and he said his wife said she would not refund us any money. I have been on many hunts and nothing is guaranteed but when Outfitter outright lies it's a waste of time and money. Stay away from this guy.

Worst hunt ever in my life. I have hunted in Africa 3 times and many times in the USA with guides/5 star facilities. I booked a $10,000 elk hunt with Ridgeline Outfitters. The rented cabin for four unrelated hunters was a dump and cold. For breakfast we were given some frozen burritos. No lunch was provided. Dinner was prepared by a gal that confessed she was a fill in and was inexperienced as a cook (as her horrible meals attested to). My guide said he was hired at the last minute and unfamiliar with the area we would be hunting. Dan the owner never showed up. I took get a 5x5 elk on day three. However, I was told that I had to arrange for my own dressing and taxidermy of the elk. When I complained to my guide, he said he would arrange to have my elk mounted. It has been 2 years now and I have never heard back about my elk mount. $10,000 a total waste. I'm still kicking myself for giving my guide an $800 tip.

I have paid for hunts from entry level hunts from $2500 on up to over $10,000. This is the most I have ever paid for a hunt and the absolute bottom of the barrel crap is what it was. No cook ! No breakfast, bologna sandwiches daily .....all you can eat for lunch w nothing else..... and frozen casserole each night, 2 scoops with no sides plopped on a paper plate. We would get back to camp well after dark, and have to rustle up our food and eat at 10 PM, all out of coolers. No running water, no showers. Guide smelled of old vodka and sweaty socks and I rolled his ass out of bed 2 of the 5 days. It was to be a one on one hunt in a 2 seat ranger..... they scammed a camera guy to come in exchange for a hunt and we had 3 people jammed in the 2 seat ranger. We went to the same 5 places and bugled each morning and night and chased whatever may bugle back.......who knows if it was a raghorn satellite bull we never looked...... This isn't trophy hunting this is a money grab scam and people need to be aware! Other guides in the area and outfitters alike are apparently savvy to this bunch........ Big red flag.......... don't give them a second look !

I drove 1500 miles from Oregon for a New Mexico trophy bull elk hunt. The ranch I hunted was between 10-12,000 acres. I was told every time I called this summer that big bulls were being seen on the ranch. If that's the case, they were either killed by earlier hunters or I was misinformed in order to sell a hunt. We didn't see one bull bigger than a spike in 4 plus days of hunting. The only hunting the guide wanted to do is drive around on a ranger and spot the elk. He acted like we were wasting our time when my son and I hunted down a real thick canyon. I think the price for the hunt was overpriced by about 4 times. Do you your honework before booking a hunt. I would not book with this outfitter again. The hunt was not even worthy of one star.
