Ribs Hickory Pit BBQ

Tried this place for the first time today on a Saturday around 2pm. They had a house full, but the service was very polite, quick and courteous to everyone. Husband had the rib plate, amazingly smoked, tender and juicy. I had the smoked turkey sandwich with smoked beans, also very tasty. Loved the atmosphere and delicious smell. I highly recommend.

Always in the hunt for good bbq. Sometimes it's just bbq, other times it's BBQ! I got a good whiff of the aroma as we pulled up. Rustic interior with a little heavier dose of bbqing meat. The meat plates looked great, but I wasn't hungry enough. I settled for the Chicken Caesar Salad (how boring right?) it was good and filling. Of course the bbq dishes everyone else ordered looked and according to them were excellent. Service was great, my ice tea glass stayed full - always a bonus. Need to go back when I'm hungry. A word of advice tho - these guys are proudly unwoke, unrelenting, unapologetic, and non-pc Americans. If you are thin skinned or otherwise offended by these views you might want to pass this place up.

Service was period good and the food was about the same. Nothing "stunning" about the food but we didn't get BBQ like we probably should have. I had the chicken sandwich and fries. Again, not bad but not great. Good drink menu and the place is really cool! It's a great place to drop in for a quick bite!

I'm pretty picky about my BB-Q and of course nobody smokes or does BB-Q as good as we do right guys! But I tell you this place nailed the ribs! The in house sausage was very good as well. The blackened catfish was good on flavor and had a nice kick to it. Brisket and pulled pork were nice and moist but a little short on flavor. Our waitress worked her tail off and was on point for our large group. I highly recommend Ribs. Don't pass on the pork ribs!We will be back again the next time we are in New Mexico.

This place is so good! I came here last week just to check it out and it's a great BBQ spot in the mountain! The food is smoked so you can't beat the taste definitely a must try!

Great ribs on the east side of Sandia in Cedar Crest NMDecent size menu with lots of options...wonderful BBQ!As a pescatarian, there are a number of delicious items to choose from and not just from the sides menu!I had a veggie burger...very good!Of course fried okra!The service was excellent...very nice people!Typical pricing for BBQWill definitely return!!

Fantastic spot, especially after a long hike. I'd give it an honest 4.5 but yelp only lets you do whole numbers, plus this place shouldn't be 3.5 like it currently is.I got the combination plate which comes with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and sausage. Frankly the brisket is mid, but everything else was fantastic. WAY better than I thought walking in here.The ambiance makes me feel homesick for Texas. It's a perfect vibe. Also they have Guinness on tap, of which I've been a connoisseur recently. Great beer selection otherwise too.Service was very friendly. Not much to say here.

I wish the food was better. I love bbq, but the meat never quite hits here for me. The heavy-handed politics is kind of exhausting too. Like, I'm not rushing to go eat at a Kamala themed sushi restaurant either. They have a good bar, though, and the staff always seem friendly.

It's been a couple of years since our last visit. Probably our last.This wasn't the food I remember. The ribs were just ok; dry and bit tough. The amount is not what is stated on the menu. Four ribs do NOT equal 1/2 rack. The burger and bison burger were not seasoned. The potato salad tasted store bought. They do get a kudos for the service.

They need to wear MASKs, definitely got norovirus there. Also who allows employees to wears MAGA political shirts in a business! The food was average, the beer was cold.
