Elvis fans stop!!! Cute, clean, adorable 50's diner in the middle of no where but worth the stop. Burgers were large and appeared to be good quality fresh beef. I had the beef brisket sandwich since the signs boast that is their specialty. It's a pulled brisket not sliced but tasty and plenty came on the sandwich. Diners have a choice of fries or onion rings without the typical onion ring upcharge which I appreciate. The onion rings were fresh with a great batter not prefrozen grainy breading, they had a nice thin crispy breading and were large! Good lunch in the middle of beautiful NM countryside! The drive from LV is worth it because it is exquisite the entire drive.

Well, we didn't have a meal here. We were on our last leg of a circle drive from Albuquerque, and Rene's was recommended for milk shakes which we were hankering for. Made with real ice cream, they were thick, delicious and quite large. Wonderfully refreshing for the next section of our drive. Will give them a try next time we head through Mora.

Rene's is a popular place for breakfast and also for its brisket, served for lunch as a sandwich and with mashed potatoes and veggie for dinner. Biscuits and gravy are excellent as are their breakfast burritos. If a skillet special is offered with home fried potatoes, go for it!The Little Alaska Ice Cream Parlor is the restaurant's little secret, so if you want ice cream, this is the place to go.Brisket with mashed potatoes is also good.

Awesome cafe! Fast and friendly service and we eat there every time we are in the area. Everything we have had there was delicious and love visiting with Rene and his wife.

I've stopped twice now at this little diner in Mora while riding my motorcycle through the area. The fish sandwich is a frozen and fried fare but very tasty with good tarter sauce. The chicken fried steak is thin, perfectly breaded and has a great gravy to accompany it and the mash potatoes. It was excellent!

Small hole in the wall diner, doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was delicious! They have a full breakfast menu from waffles and pancakes to breakfast burritos and huevos rancheros. We did not make it for breakfast so I settled for enchiladas, Christmas (red and green Chile) of course. I ate every bite. Renee also came out to introduce himself. Great service, everyone made us feel welcome. Will have to try the breakfast menu next time.
