If you care for your loved one don't put them here! It was dirty, my father was not fed for a whole day, he fell twice because no one would come into his room, and on more than one occasion he sat/lay in his own urine because they did not change him or clean him up!!

My husband had a stroke and was sent to Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque. He is unable to articulate his needs. His right side is useless. I have been in his room for over 2 hours and no one has been in to check on him. He is sitting in his own filth and there has been no evidence of food delivery. I would warn anyone with a loved one needing nursing or rehabilitation services to avoid this facility. As soon as I can arrange having my husband transferred to another facility, I will.

As San Pedro slowly bends towards I25, this facility lies tucked away - so the sick, the hopeless, the forgotten are left to die. This is no exaggeration! The level of neglect here is beyond comprehension! There is no rehabilitation here, nor improvement of health and condition. Here, witnessed firsthand by me, basic human needs are routinely NOT addressed! When a patient is there a WEEK without talking to a doctor; when a patient is left in their own filth because their linen is not changed; when a person has their urine collection bag OVERFILL and spill and they have to sit in their own filth overnight - THAT is when a facility like this breeds hopelessness, fear, and neglect. When a female patient is almost forced to take a shower with a male, it is disgustingly careless. When that patient asks for a female worker to bathe her and is basically laughed at by all staff, INCLUDING the head administrator, this is borderline a violation to the female patient! Every worker there -from orderly to nurse to the head administrator has a flippant attitude to the "care" of the patients. "It wasn't me" and or "it wasn't on my watch" is a persistent excuse to every question, every inquiry to the neglect I witnessed. If you want your loved one to wilt away and die a slow and terrifying death, have them go to Genesis. If you have any compassion for your loved ones, PLEASE have them go to ANYWHERE other than this death lodge!

My Mom has been at this facility for over a month and has received the quality care she needs. The entire staff from the nurses, CNAs, therapists, dietician, activities director, administrative offices, receptionists, and driver to medical appointments have done an amazing job. The social worker has been exceptional. Any concerns I have brought to their attention have been addressed and the entire staff has gone above and beyond to help meet my Mom's needs. The facility is very clean, which is extremely important to our family. Thank you for all you do! Hilda

I cannot recommend this facility. Their biggest problems are communication with family members and transporting residents. The administration staff seldom returns phone calls and emails, so that concerns are rarely addressed. In addition, not all of their rules and regulations are explained. I didn't know they were a no-lift facility until after they sent my family member to the dentist for an extraction in a wheelchair and no staff member went with her to lift her into the dentist chair. Performing the extraction was difficult for the dentist and uncomfortable for my family member. After I complained I was told they were a no lift facility so no staff went with her to help get her in the dentist chair and furthermore, the dentist came to the facility. So why did the facility make the appointment with the dentist in his office? My family member had 5 appointments with a cardiologist and they got her to 2 appointments and always had an excuse as to why she wasn't transported. In addition, I spent months trying to get her toenails trimmed. I was told numerous times the podiatrist was on the way, in the building, and she was on the list, but it took from August to November to get that taken care of. My family member is lactose intolerant. One day, I asked what she had for lunch - mac and cheese was her answer. Believe me, there were more problems and I was so happy to move her to another facility.

I would avoid to send my loved one here again. The whole management team ( 40% of nurses, 50% techs, case manager seems not much care about their residents (patients). There is no good plan of care. No sympathy, no love, or care in their heart for their residents. I felt like over 60% of the staffs here are senseless and heartless people who only care about is their pay cheque. One CNA walk into our room on our call and ran right away seeing that patient needed to be changed. She came back only after another good hearted PRN tech ( who was about to leave) came and helped the patient out. Over 60% of CNA would rather sit in some corner watching their phones rather than attending the call lights. Patients would be calling for hours before they get help. Some Nighttime CNAs, don't even shows their face for whole night. So, imagine what would happen to the patients with incontinent? There is a big communication, and coordination gap within staffs themselves if something comes up. One person comes and says something and other person comes says something else. Driving the patient and their family member crazy. I would not recommend my loved one to this place. Some of the few people who were doing their job seriously and very compassionately toward the patients are: social Worker Kelsey, LPN Linda, Nurse Marie, Med tech Mery, CNA Billy, CNA Tracey (the best One). I respect and salute them for their care and support; and request them to keep their good work on. This facility need more of these kind of people. Thanks

Our family could not be happier with the excellent care my mother receives at this facility. The nurses are involved and knowledgeable about her care. They alert us to any concerns or issues. My mom LOVES the food, there are multiple choices for each meal and we have eaten with her...it's good food. The facility is clean and well kept. All of the staff are considerate and kind to the residents, even when they don't think anyone is looking :) They have church services in their chapel twice a week which is important for my mom. So grateful for all they do to keep my mom safe and well cared for.
