I really like the instructor here, he's great with my daughter and she enjoys having him as her teacher. He's patient and kind. Never gets frustrated and makes learning easy. He teaches both bass and acoustic guitars and does either 30 minute or 45 minute lessons weekly. He teaches all ages, not just children.

Jay is a great instructor. I'm an older student and not necessarily the most gifted but I can tell that I'm improving with his help. I've had other music teachers and they can make you feel like a benighted orphan struggling for acceptance at the hands of an all-knowing master. How many times do you want to hear 'NO!'? Jay's not like that.Jay has the chops and he lets you learn in your own best way. I'm not super interested in learning lots of classic songs but I really dig learning about theory and song structures. He always fits the lesson to my interests in a way that is still challenging.I think music instruction is a really underappreciated skill and Jay deserves recognition for the way he helps us learners down the road.On a practical level I'll finish by saying that it's always a straightforward affair with regards to payment and scheduling. He's very professional in that regard as well.

My ten year old daughter takes weekly classes with Jay and I must say she mostly hates it when I make her practice but she LOVES going to her sessions with him. He's very patient and he gets her excited about learning. He's super knowledgeable and he can make a mistake sound wonderful. If you're looking to learn to play the guitar I would highly recommend him.

Jay is an awesome teacher! Excited and interested in what you as a student wants to learn and very knowledgeable. He's good at answering questions from a beginners point of view and explaining things until you really get it. I'm learning to play one of my favorite songs already just a few classes in and I couldn't be happier!

My son is 10 years old and has been a student of Jay's for about a year now. Not only has my son improved greatly, he really enjoys his sessions. Jay is a walking musical encyclopedia and is able to use music my son likes to keep him excited about learning guitar. Jay is a true professional who uses every minute valuably.
