Visited this place twice in the past 3 years. I vacation a lot in Taos and like the cool finds when I travel. Stopped in 3 minutes before closing. The young lady hard at work sitting there announced as soon as I walked in that they were closing in 3 minutes. I asked her what time do you open? She announces that they are a "day shop", they open at 10am. I explained to her that is not enough time for anyone who is gone before that hour and doesn't get back from activities until after they close. She continued to have this shrugging of her shoulders attitude. Anyway I was disappointed in her attitude and the hours. With the 3 minutes I had to shop I did see some cool vest that I'm in the market for but the girl needs to lighten up. I understand that in small town, hours are limited but I gave this place 2 stars because of my first visit I must of made it during the day and I found some cool stuff.According to the young lady Hours are from 10am-530pm & they are not sorry about it.

This is the best place in Taos to find vintage and secondhand clothes for reasonable prices. There is a specially labeled vintage section in the back, but everything in the store is second-hand, and you can even find some cool vintage stuff peppered in the rest of the store. I've found a few awesome, geometric eighties sweaters here, as well as a gorgeous beaded gown that I wore for New Year's Eve last year. The gown is one of the best vintage pieces I've ever bought. Definitely worth a look if you love vintage stuff. There is a lot of hippie-ish stuff that gets dropped off here, but if you dig you can find some pretty fun stuff. Also be sure to check out their coats. I found a Neiman Marcus coat here once! I have never exchanged clothing here, so I don't really know what the protocol is for that. I'm assuming it's similar to that of Buffalo Exchange, though. Go here!

Woah! This place is great. A lot of items still had the tags on, and those that didn't were in fantastic, like-new condition. I found a good size pieces including a few gorgeous dresses! So happy to have found this shop!

I've been coming to Rethreads for years and always find at least one gem for a great price when I shop. The only drawback is that parking lot being right on the Paseo but it's so worth it! Check it out if you like thrifting!

Such a cool selection and definitely a place worth visiting! Yes you do have to look around a bit to understand the layout of the clothes but every turn you make you keep finding hidden gems! Absolutely love that they even tell you what decade certain garments are from too! 10/10 will definitely be making this my Taos Ritual

This is my go-to consignment shop in Taos. Many to choose from, but Re-Threads seems to have a good balance -- not too big (or dumpy); not too small or pricey. The clothing they sell isn't excessively curated, as consignment shops in some cities are (the ones that will only take clothes from high-end brands). I've bought stuff here that is Target's store brand, or old navy -- if it fits and looks pretty, I'm in. Prices are reasonable enough -- earrings are $5. Jeans are $12. Prices on used shoes seemed a little high to me -- $20-something maybe?
