Just a quick update: The service is just next to perfect! I know, I know, others like to pile on, but my experiences have been fantastic!I think those who are less than pleased do not take advantage of the tools they're afforded. By utilizing the My Health e Vet website: https://www.myhealth.va.gov/mhv-portal-web/home, your experience will be in your control. Via the direct messaging option I can communicate with my primary care team directly and ask questions, request prescription refills, and schedule appointments, along with a bevy of other options.Via that portal I requested a quick appointment on Monday July 8th, and had one scheduled two days later. Seriously, did you read that correctly? Two days later I was seen! Obviously I could have gone to the "Same Day Clinic" and waited to be seen, but that would have been like going to any urgent care facility - waiting hours on end to be seen by a stranger. It was awesome, two days after my request I'm sitting in front of my primary care Doc. and he's prescribing me something to be picked up at the pharmacy right then. Even the pharmacy window wait was only about 15 minutes.Regardless of how much I try, I cannot find a single issue to complain about here.

The Women's Clinic staff is considerate and caring. Everyone is sensitive to women's health issues and thorough. Cannot recommend enough.

The care my husband got at the hospital was amazing. The doctors, nurses support staff were great.

My husband's primary physician is great! She took her time to understand his needs and make all needed referrals. We were not home for more than 15 minutes when the home health care company called. The nurse is scheduled to visit tomorrow. We were totally impressed with the visit and the follow up.

My husband was able to get a primary care doctor assigned and an appointment scheduled within a week. The staff are exceptionally kind, efficient, and courteous. His PCP made several referrals to other departments and we were contacted by all of them within 24 hours and appointments scheduled. He's seen several of the providers already and each of them listened and took the time he needed.

The surgery department and wound care is horrible very incompetent nurses and head nurse practitioner of wound care. They do not listen to the Veteran and provide horrible treatment and services. Please hire better nurses to take better care of wounds, employees who listen and provide great customer service. Those nurses are rude, immature, and incompetent. They are horrible!

I get all of my medical care at the VA. I have also been hospitalized there several times and I have been very happy. And since this is Yelp the food is very good.

Junk! 100% JUNK!!Oncology department is a joke and will never help any veteran with cancer unless their family friend or relative. Oncology nurse is not a doctor and has less than 5% training of a medical doctor. Oncology staff manipulates lies and makes cancer patients suffer. Care team is non-existent and will abandon you and never say anything until they are busted by the oig. Cancer patient here tumors have multiplied and grown with the zero treatment plan and not even a care team or pack team to help with basic necessities of a cancer patient. I have 18 years invested as a first responder and this is not a hospital this is a scam In cahoots with the regional office. I will never return to this horrible hospital and make more complaints to the White House. I hope you choke on your paycheck.

I have had good service from a couple of providers but I have had more terrible service overall. The system is broken. Vets are not getting consistent good quality care. What happened to the VA reform?VA needs to look/ at the reviews and listen to what is being said. While there are one or two good providers there are so many more that are bad and you even contract bad ones. Are you all desperate? Come on, get with it.Veterans served and were promised 100% free medical care for life and that didn't happen. At least find providers who care, do a good job and work for their salaries.

I must give thanks to one of the best nurse practitioners I met, considering all the VA medical centers my wife and I have been to. I came to Albuquerque VA medical center for a procedure and ended up with a very bad infection and wound. The nurse practitioner Nickole Saulsberry was incredibly great. She had compassion and patience and provided my wound care very delicately. I recommend her for anyone who has a very bad wound. Although there were a team of nurses taking care of my wound, she stood out because of her great Spirit, warm heart and beautiful attitude. Thank you Nickole for all your hard work and help. I really hope you get a raise! Your too awesome! If I ever need help again in the future with any type of wound, I will come and ask for you and your team!
