Super fun store! Extremely personable and knowledgeable staff - Thanks, Patti & Vanessa! Great selection of fabrics, multiple kits available and samples everywhere! We felt right at home from the time we entered. They offer a rewards program as well as classes and quilting activities. Highly recommend this gem of a quilt shop and looking forward to our return.

This was my first time in a quilt shop so I might be naive but I think I know quality service and quality fabrics when I see them! Visited to look for fabric for a custom quilt (obviously I'm not the one quilting, hehe) and they were so kind, patient, and helpful! The owner, Sandra, helped us pull different fabrics and pulled many choices for us to compare until we decided on what we needed and wanted. I can't believe I spent an hour at a quilt shop (which frankly I thought was going to be boring) and it was so much fun! As far as pricing goes, it reflects the quality they offer. I was told they have one of the largest selection of batik fabrics in the local area.

Yeah, it's not just me according to some reviews... The fabrics are all great quality but the staff is coolish, some weird kinda tension there, they deign to cut your fabric at exorbitant prices so I go maybe once a year for Kaffes but I would never approach them for advice or questions. I started a block of the month years ago but stoped going because I didn't feel welcome like a 'real' local quilt store can sometimes feel.Great choices tho...

I love this super cute and quaint quilt shop. I was visiting from Houston and it happened to be a Saturday. They were doing this "Saturday Sampler" thing where one of the ladies that works there was doing a demo. she was showing everyone in the room how to do this cute little project that took her no time at all to do. Let me just say the room was PACKED with people for this free, easy, simple, and cute demo. I loved the fabric as well. The batiks were amazing. I have never seen so many. I feel like this quilt shop had some incredible options for every type of quilter. I hope we can come back to this awesome place in the future. Thank you for such an incredible experience and awesome customer service.I also joined their email blast list. They sell some of their awesome fabric and kits on-line!!! Can't beat that. Bringing the SW home to Houston!!!

Not alone with the less than favorable reviews. The fabrics available in the store are great, the staff, not so much. I have taken a number of beautiful pieces in to share and have been met with staff who are 'too busy' to be bothered. I used to do business there, but drive into town now. Such a turnoff. They must have a lot of 'bad days' as I have returned to give it another chance and been met with the same attitude.

I went in on my birthday last July. I budgeted about $200 per quilt shop which is a lot for me so I was really excited to add tons to my stash. I wanted to look at the Christmas fabric but the shelf it was on was covered with butcher paper. I asked if I could look at it but they said I couldn't because they were going to have a Christmas event later in the week so nobody could see it. What? I'm standing there with birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and I can't buy your fabric? I told them I lived on the other side of Albuquerque so it was a 40 minute drive to get there but they said I still couldn't look and had to come back later. Okay...so I asked if I could still get my discount when I came back and they said no, you only get your birthday discount on your birthday. WTH??? It was a really rotten way to start my birthday shopping trip but I decided to not let them ruin my day. Scratched them off my list permanently and took their money and spent it at a much friendlier shop.

I guess the bad staff attitude finally did them in. They are gone from the Corrales location (The Corrales Tea Shop next door is taking over the space--yay!). The website and Facebook page are gone. I went in once and asked about classes and got snotty attitude because I would have been a basic beginner. They were appalled that I would even bother them with questions when I wasn't even proficient with a sewing machine. I left and took up crochet instead of quilting and learned from a lovely local group of yarnavores. I couldn't even calculate the amount of money I've spent on yarn and such. Quilts Ole was exceptionally good at alienating customers.

Today is the last time I will ever spend another cent at Quilts Ole. Unfriendly only scratches the surface of the bad attitude in this store. I've never experienced any sort of welcoming atmosphere in my past visits to Quilts Ole. But the open ended pretentious disdain expressed there today was the last straw. I have the choice to support other locally owned quilt shops that carry quality fabrics and appreciate their customers business. From here on, the kinder, friendlier, congenial shops will get my business.

I had a great experience. Went in to look for a coordinating fabric for a panel I was working on. Great help with staff pulling several suggestions and laying them out for me to evaluate. Shared information on several of the examples I saw hanging in the shop. Cute, clean, well stocked. I'll be back.

Wow! The WORST customer service on the planet. My mom went in search of some specific fabric prints today and we like to support local business whenever possible. When she walked in and asked about the prints, the lady working in the shop (possibly the owner?) went of on a tangent telling my mom that what she is looking for is crap fabric and that she may as well go to Jo-Ann's because all they carry is crappy fabrics. That as soon as you wash it it's going to fall apart and how her shop would never sell such things. While the lady was ranting my mom was looking around and noticed an attractive hasek hanging in the store and asked if they teach classes on how to make them. She was answered with a very condescending comment that a class on it wouldn't do her any good unless she knew how to do paper-piecing first. It was as if the lady was deliberately trying to loose business. Congrats, you lost ours. If I could rate them lower, I would.
