They also have chickens, ducks , pigeons and rabbits. There is so much there! Definitely go there if you are looking for fishing supplies or pet/farm animals/items.

They have Gamboozees (Mosquito Fish), Crayfish, Mud Dogs (salamander), Bullfrog Tadpoles w/legs (1 yr to bullfrog) and tadpoles w/o legs (2yrs to bullfrog), Fathead minnows, Rosy Reds and a boatload of Koi (in various sizes). They also have turtles and ducks and water plants.Everything you need for an outdoor pond. John (or Jon) was great and as knowledgeable as the fish-guy at Clark's at Juan Tabo Blvd + Menaul Blvd....but cheaper if you're willing to make the drive. It's worth it. I live in Sandia Park but go to the South Valley for "outdoor pond fish". I get tropicals at PetSmart or Petco or Clark's (third just because of cost. They have great service but charge 2x anyone else for it). That's the main reason I stick with Quality Baits because they don't charge for an arm or a leg and give breaks for bulk buys.

I have to say I'm very heartbroken over my experience with this place. We had 16 chickens that we got from various feed stores in May, and they were all very healthy and thriving. 4 of the bantams came from QB&T when they were in the brooder. Three and a half weeks ago I got 3 more chickens from QB&T and upon getting home I noticed one was sneezing and had a raspy breath. I took the chick back and the men working (John and Junior) acted as if I was losing my mind because there was nothing wrong with the bird. It was "fine" and "sometimes chickens get colds, that's what happens when it starts raining and gets wet outside" or "perhaps it was just allergic to something in my house"Excuses, excuses. They begrudgingly swapped the sick chick out for me and I asked for guidance about quarantine time frames. Junior told me there was no need to quarantine them at all. I am a novice, but I felt like checking that info before I set the new birds loose with the rest of my flock. We kept the new chicks quarantined in the house, far away from the other chickens for 14 days. They seemed fine and the year old hen I got even laid an egg during that time. We felt confident that they would be ok so we socialized them with everyone else.BIG MISTAKE! Just one day later, the two youngest (new) chicks died and now a week after that, the rest of our birds are sneezing and have dark green drainage. I'm terrified we are going to lose our entire flock now. The handful of times I've been here to do business, I always leave with something I didn't intend to buy because the man checking me out insists that I need it for the health of my chickens. Medicated feed, VetRX, probiotics.... everything I have gotten has done nothing. In hindsight, I never should have expanded our flock because it seems we will soon be without any birds to show the hard work we did to get started this spring and summer. I urge you to do as much research as you can and use extreme caution when buying any live poultry from this place. I have since learned that chickens don't get colds, they get potentially deadly respiratory infections that are highly contagious. I suppose that sharing that important knowledge is not very conducive for business, so saying they just have a "cold" seems harmless enough to the amateur chicken owners. It's absolutely devastating to think that a few dollars in their pockets is worth the demise of my entire flock! Shameful business practices. Please save yourself headache and stress and find a place that has healthy birds.

I love this place! Over the years I've bought chickens, koi, polliwogs from them. I love taking the kids. Perhaps the owner isn't 'bubbly,' but he's a good guy, and he sure does a great job with his animals!

Love this place! People are very helpful and nice, we bought our baby chicks there and it's a fun place to take the kids since it feels like a little makeshift petting zoo. I love the fact they let you walk around the back and you can see the geese, chickens and rabbits they have for sale up close. Nice little hidden gem, although some of their items are a little pricey I still give this place thumbs up!

I like this place! Been buying fishing licenses here for years but they just recently stopped. It's a little over priced on fishing gear bit I'd rather support mom and pop stores like this any day

I am very disappointed in this place. The new owner is very rude. He was NOT helpful or informative at all. I was unsure of a product that my husband sent me there for and needed guidance from the old man (owner) and he just pointed to the many items and wanted me to figure it out. I asked for guidance and to inform me of the differences between the different products and he was very rude. It made me feel like I was not important and I was a bother to him. Please note that I was the ONLY customer in his store. I did make a purchase but was the wrong one that my husband wanted. Now I am stuck with a pricey item that may not work for what we need because he will not honor the return. The previous owner (Junior) was very nice, out-going and helpful and was a pleasure to do business with. It is a shame that I will have to take my business elsewhere.
