I arrived an hour before my reservation and enjoyed the service, bread, raspberry jam and creamy butter before dinner.Jay and Francessa were most hospitable and i moved promptly to my table.Since daylight savings time had occurred there was not much to see and my table lacked much of a sightline anyway in early evening in NovemberWe enjoyed an exquisite pear salad with goat cheese and then the Fish special. Dessert was a cinnamon roll with a tiny dollop of vanilla bean ice cream. We spent a good two hours at table and never felt rushed or overly intruded upon There was a noticeable pride and courteous joyfulness exhibited by the staff It seems the restaurant seating area is a bit more diminished than i remember it being. But one did not have to battle with other noise throughout the evening which i find to be rare among the local restaurants We wish the staff a wonder -filled holiday season

We chose Prairie Star for our Thanksgiving day dinner. It's a beautiful spot and our view from our table was grand. Dinner was extremely disappointing. After being seated and ordering I lifted my menu to give to the waitress. After she left, I looked down in dismay at a very gross tablecloth. I don't know how staff could have set our table up in that tablecloth. Carelessness. The starter was a duck confit Mac n cheese. This was literally the best part of the entire meal, my husband's included. He had the sea bass and I had a slow braised New York strip. Both were tasteless, although my mashed potatoes were very good. Desert was pecan pie and it was difficult to find any pecans. Cloyingly sweet. Their expresso tasted like my morning coffee. I'm really sad to say I don't think I'll ever go back. This was our third or fourth time coming here (it's been progressively worse) for Thanksgiving and this wasn't worth the over $200 ticket.Service was overly friendly. Sometimes you just want a checkin every now and then (advice to the waitstaff trainers). It was just too much.

We went to Prarie Star for the first time tonight. The views and atmosphere were amazing. Our waitress was super sweet and was right on top of our drinks. We started with the crab cake. It was the first time I had a crab cake with red Chile, and let me tell you, I can not ever have one any other way. The chile was spicy and flavorful. The caviar tasted amazing. I had the lobster bisque and my husband had the strawberry salad. I got the Chilean sea bass which was the special, it came with cous cous and green beans. My husband ordered the Prime Ribeye with garlic mashed potaties and roasted brussel sprouts. The food came out hot and fast and was well seasoned. We ended dinner with the crème brûlée. I was so full I came home with left overs so I can enjoy tomorrow.

We are always lucky to get Francesca as our server. She is super friendly and always knowledgeable about the menu. She goes above and beyond to ensure we have a good dining experience. The dining room is always inviting and intimate and we had another fantastic dinner from Chef Myles Lucero !

This is a beautiful spot tucked away in Bernalillo. The atmosphere is quiet, and even for a Friday night, the restaurant wasn't particularly full. Our service was great, and we had the bread basket prior to getting all our entrees. The half duck was super tender, and the green chile mac & cheese was really creamy! It was overall an enjoyable experience.

My friend and I recently had dinner at Prairie Star and we had a good experience. We specifically shared the Wine & Dine meal (the 3 course menu changes every week and is offered on Wed & Thurs evenings/nights). thought the restaurant offered a really good. The ambiance, view, service and good deal for food!I got to try the beer battered artichoke heart, grilled wagyu flank steak and a hazelnut cake. The food was good, although I think next time I would probably opt for dishes that don't contain much fried food (like beer battered artichoke or fries that came with the steak) just for health sake. I especially like that the restaurant was accommodating. I don't really drink and my friend isn't a huge drinker, so we were able to opt for just a glass of wine instead of a bottle of wine to share and our waitress was kind enough to give some discount to the meal for not getting the wine (while charging for that glass of prosecco).I thought the ambiance was wonderful. There's an impressive view of the Sandia Mountains from the restaurant and it looked especially mesmerizing during the sunset. The restaurant was not too busy and cozy enough to enjoy a conversation and not feel rushed throughout the meal. The waitress was wonderful. She was kind to accommodate and helped us with whatever we need. Honestly, for the $79 meal for two, this was a good deal! I wouldn't necessarily say the food was out of this world delicious but it was a nice, good meal for sure. In the future, because the place offers such a nice dining environment, I'd even think of stopping by there to give myself a treat from time to time with a meal there. They do have a bar area as well, so if you don't have a reservation/are thinking of last minute stop by, a nice meal there would still be possible.

This country club restaurant has dramatic golf course and mountain views (for New Mexico). I opted to go with the chefs choice for dinner. It was a buffalo steak that was just amazing. The service was also excellent making this an overall great experience.

My Dad and I went here for the thanksgiving holiday. There was a preset menu with options for each of the four courses. Everything was delicious and my dad and I strategized to get different things and share so we could taste it all!Francesca was an awesome server giving us updates on course timing, menu advice and keeping our drinks full. The restaurant has plenty of native art to admire during your dinning experience. We were seated near some tables with people who spoke and laughed quite loudly so it was notable that the room designs seemed to echo/ amplify noise, making it difficult to hear each other at average speaking volumes.

Amazing food and service. We came here during our stay at The Hyatt and were truly impressed by the quality of the meals. I ordered the filet with the bacon and sour cream smashed potatoes and my husband had the prime NY strip on special which was smoked. Truly delicious, from the shishito peppers and the Brie with prosciutto- to the chocolate torte. When we return next year, we're eating here again and you should too!
