Huh. I'm not sure if I'm bi-polar or is Posa's that inconsistent? 11 days ago I updated my 2-star review to a 5-star, and wrote a rave review. Today I'm pressed to give them 3-stars. The red chile was bland and not spicy AT ALL. Carne Adovada was dry and didn't taste like it was slow-cooked in adovada AT ALL. 2 out of 3 fails would normally mean a place lost my patronage forever, but this is Posa's. I can only hope they read these reviews and make the corrections necessary to consistently turn out the great food so many of us remember since the old days. I'll give them 1 more try merely because I can't fathom life without Posa's, but I'll have to come to terms with that potential reality. If I were recommending 1 Santa Fe meal to somebody en esa epoca, I would not risk sending them to Posa's. Lamento mucho.

Ambiance - eh. Old not to impressive but good place to sit and eat some pretty decent food.Food was pretty darn good. Sopapillas were sweet before the honey, and was great to dip in my left over sauce. Had calabasa, chicken enchilada and cheese chile rellano was pretty good and worth the stop. Staff was nice and informative. :-)

Delicious options and huge portions! There are other items on the menu that caught my eye that I'll have to try next time, like what's a tamale pie? Sounds interesting. I had the combination plate and there are several different options for sides. Very tasty and filling. They have great indoor and outdoor seating options. They have many different options for dessert. They are well known for thier tamales and have a freezer section I saw many patrons walk up to to get frozen tamales to go. Many tasty sounding tamale options too. I plan to go back and try more.

Hubs loved the Santa Fe plate- he forgot he was supposed to be sharing it with me. It packed a heat punch- excellent!I had the pozole and it was ok. In Arizona, my favorite restaurant that serves this dish always tops it with cabbage, thinly sliced radish and lime, and I missed that a little bit here.Service was excellent, and the homemade tortillas are absolutely fantastic!

On a recent road trip, I decided to stop by Posa's Tamale Factory and Restaurant. We ordered the flautas and two tamales. The flautas were pretty good, but it was the green salsa that truly stood out--it was delicious! As for the tamales, they were also quite good. However, one of the tamales was a bit dry, while the other, the chicken tamale, was amazing and tender, suggesting we might have just been unlucky with the cheese batch.Overall, I would definitely come back.

After a nice long hike (Upper Canyon Loop), my wife and I were looking for comfort food, but relatively healthy, to slake our hunger. We had seen a billboard for this place and decided to give it a try. I had the vegan tamale plate, Christmas, with rice and beans. My wife had the same, but red, and with calabecitas instead of rice. Everything was delicious. The beans were clearly house made, and delicious, with a blend of salt and savor. The tamales were a perfect temperature, and the tortillas and sopapillas were piping hot. Some have complained that the sopapillas are too bready. We tasted the bread flavor, but we really liked them. A sopapilla should not be a dessert item on its own; there's honey on the table to make it as sweet as you want. We have another place on our Santa Fe rotation.

Still have great breakfast burritos here but I was somewhat disappointed to find that they gave me bacon instead of sausage in my to go order. Front counter person taking our order wasn't as friendly as normal either. I was going to drop my rating to 3 Stars but still gave this resturant 4 Stars based on previous positive visits we have had.

Way overpriced for the quality and they have shrunk the size of their products. this restaurant has lost its quality and charm over the last few months.
