Plaza Cafe Southside

Service was fast even tho it was BUSY! Cute patio seating, it's covered so it's not too hot. Surrounded by flowers :) I order the New Mexico steak and eggs with red and green chili! It's was delicious! If you're in the area stop and try it.

I was really excited to try this place since it's so close. I would recommend this place for drinks and apps but for dinner there's way better options.The food is pricey. Seems appropriate for downtown Santa Fe but not for the backside of Lowe's. The green chile is very good.. the red is not..tastes like uncooked masa. Even the fries weren't great. The service was average if anything not friendly - cold. Our greeting was "how many" and didn't acknowledge when we left. The cookies they give with the bill are underwhelming too.

This is a super cute 50's style diner. The service was adequate (not super friendly, but we noticed that seemed to be the norm in Santa Fe. I had the blueCorn pancakes, which were ok. Overall, it was an average experience.

not a fan of Plaza Café on the plaza. But this location on southside is much better. Enjoyed a fresh spinach salad and my husband had eggs with sausage and cheesy hashbrowns. Excellent service. Will definitely be back.

We went to the Plaza Cafe Southside on the recommendation of the clerk at our hotel. Reading recent reviews made us a bit trepidatious. We needn't have worried. We had a very nice experience. We were seated quickly in what turned out to be a cute, 50s themed restaurant. I would say it took 8 -10 minutes for our waiter to come to take our order but he was clearly keeping busy both waiting on tables and serving as a bartender. He was completely gracious, very polite and helpful. The food was delivered quickly. The plates looked appetizing and the food was hot and delicious. We had no room for dessert but were served small, delicious cookies with our check. A perfect little treat to end a very nice meal!

The food at the Plaza Cafe off the main square is excellent. Be sure to try their Boozey Shake. It will have you walking on sunshine. The food was also excellent at the Southside location as well. I had never been to this location, so I was excited to try it out. But what would have been really amazing was if their service didn't just show how little they actually cared for their customer. I waited for about fifteen minutes to be seated. There was nobody else there waiting. Almost half the tables were empty and they didn't close for another two hours. And yet while I seemed to have all this going in my favor, I just stood there looking over at the three waitresses leaned up against the side of the bar (and a very nice bar it is) talking to the bartender. I know they saw me, because I watched them glance at me from time to time. Yet there they were, just ignoring me until I finally had enough and chose a table to seat myself at. Then I waited for another fifteen minutes before somebody decided to be my server, and yes, I was sitting in an occupied section of the restaurant.The food was still very good, but even when it was time to pay I almost had to be my own cashier. Tip to management: When you have plenty of employees but get reviews like this, it's probably because you employees are doing the Quiet Quitting thing.

The food and service are always tops! Great green chili cheese burger! And the owners work here in this established local Santa Fe restaurant!

A fun diner stop on the Southside. They have lots of space for any size groups. The waiter was helpful and knowledgeable when I was trying to decide what to have. I settled on their new salad the Green Goodness and added steak to it. The salad itself was delicious and filling, the steak was kinda chewy so it took away from the whole meal but overall I liked the salad. We also got a house margarita that was good. We didn't try their desserts but they looked delicious and we'll need to next time we come.

Met my cousin and her husband here for brunch. Quite a diverse menu and the food and service were great. I had the Plaza Breakfast, 2 eggs over easy, hash browns and link sausage smothered in green chile accompanied by 2 buttermilk pancakes. Yum My wife had the Traditional with 2 eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns and toast. My cousin went for the Spicy Salmon Salad and her husband the Green Chile Stew. All delicious!

Came here for dinner with the girls weekend. And yum! I had the steak and enchiladas. The steak was cooked perfectly (med rare). The ambiance was nice! I wanted to go again before I had to leave back to home to California, but we ran out of time. Will have to go here again if I come backTo Santa Fe
