Plato's Closet

The staff isn't all that polite or helpful. You are kind of left on your own to figure it out. They also do not take anything of real value. I was told they would take a gold ring but would sell it "for like $2", which I find hard to believe. Overall just not worth bringing things in to sell. I had higher-end items and was told that they don't sell them. Which leaves me with more questions than answers. Do they just accept cheap, fast fashion that falls apart? No clue. Won't be going back to find out.

I used to work at a Plato's closet in California so I know how training and processes work. This staff is rude and very slow with the buy process. They're chitchatting with each other while eye-rolling any time someone comes in with a buy. I understand, as I left since I hated the job but I never treated customers this way. The girl doing my buy had my 2 bags for 40 minutes in front of her. And didn't buy anything.. should've easily been 10-15 if it's going to be an all pass. I'm a little disappointed since I did bring in lightly worn clothes with pretty good brands. I don't take it personally because half of the random things on the rack make me question their training. I wouldn't recommend coming in unless you want to wait hours and be judged in the process. The only 2 helpful/nice workers were the blue haired girl-seemed like a lead, and the newer girl with short straight hair.

I do enjoy shopping at plato's closet because I can find relatively nice, brand name clothing items and accessories at a large discount. The employees were all very friendly and helpful, and wearing masks. I don't think I would recommend selling here, though. On several occasions, I've brought in large collections of decent, nice items but only one or two were selected, if any at all. If I could even get $ 5.00 back from trying to sell items there, that would be a lot. Other then that, the store is a nice environment with good prices for clothing, shoes and accessories.

Tbh, I've been in other stores, this location.. they judge you on how you look. I've had two sales associates girls walk by me without saying a word, and they approached a guy in his early twenties, greeted him. While they kept eyeing me down, I mean, I'd rather shop where they Associates make you feel welcomed. I saw some nice shirts, was going to PURCHASE WITH MY DEBT CARD, but they thought I was going to run out with items. Just buy your things Full Price.

I think the concept of Plato's Closet is good, but don't go in there expecting to make money. Usually when I go they only accept half of my stuff and what they do accept is at a very low dollar amount. Sometimes I feel I can get more claiming it as a tax write off. But if you need quick cash and have some stuff you want to part with then this place is for you!

Worst experience. I have sold here before and I have had all clothes that are in very great condition, and they took nothing. The customer service is awful. I have gone through some of there clothes they have which have been torn or so out of date. Just not sure how they are willing to take that but will not take brand new in style clothes

I made an appointment and took in just-washed or cleaned Eddie Bauer down jackets, brand name and lightly worn jeans, really nice recently purchased cocktail clothes. Everything was carefully folded since they said no hangers. I returned at the time stated and received $10 and my items dumped in a jumble pile. It was as if they thought I had brought in trash! I was shocked. When I questioned what item they were paying me $10 for, the person at the desk said "How should I know?"I had shopped there occasionally with friends and felt that items I had to bring were in keeping with the type and quality I saw and bought there. But I will NEVER go back. And I tell EVERYONE about the rude experience. Too bad I had to give them even one star.

Everyone working this store is rude and only interested in conversation with their coworkers. They sell cheap, fast-fashion clothing with very little to choose from in regard to actual vintage or wearable stuff. Everything is from Shein. I hate Plato's and I never, ever go if I can help it.

I found several beautiful dresses here, including one that I wore to my graduation and one professional one. One of the dresses did have a small rip on the seam, but fortunately I noticed it before I bought it and they discounted it. I will definitely be a repeat customer here.

I was just looking around. Walking around the store until I felt a sharp pain under my foot apparently Their was a thumbtack On the floor, all I gotta say is they need to do better at cleaning up. I hope you guys don't consider this stealing, but thanks for the thumbtack
