Plata Coffee

Visited their new location off 2nd near Steel Bender Brewing. It's an inviting shop with indoor and outdoor seating.I've tried their latte and their flat white hot drinks. Both were excellent. They also have an assortment of pastries, etc, available. Great experience overall. I'll be making Plata Coffee a regular stop!

After getting an treat from the pastry place next door, I wanted to get a coffee to go with it. So, after looking at the menu, and help from the staff because the lighting and size of lettering to see the menu was a little difficult for me....I got a small chocolate latte.Service was quick, friendly and coffee was delicious. Just the right amount temperature, sweetness and whip at the top. Perfect combination with my sweet treat.

Smells great. As in the stand manages to smell like a coffee perfumery EVEN within a big open indoor market (food court.) Fantastic and friendly service - they made a fantastic Columbia med/dark Aeropress for me.Located on the far east wall of the market, next to a patisserie (whoops, yeah, now you're REALLY tempted, aren't ya!)

I met a friend at Plata Coffee to try out yet another of the many coffee shops in ABQ. We're on a roll to try a new coffee shop experience every couple of weeks. There are so many good ones here that I wonder how they all can survive. Great coffee and a really good location seem to be the key to success. I believe Plata Coffee has hit the nail on the head and figured out that formula. Located in Sawmill Marketplace and close to Old Town - the center of New Mexican culture and tourism - the owners seem to have carefully selected the location. An upscale food court. After all, don't real estate agents tell you: "Location, location, location", if you want your business to be successful?This little booth / shop deserves 5 stars, but I am only going to give it 4. Why? Four seems appropriate when one Latte cost $5.80 and the second - Honey Turmeric Latte was $6.50. With tip, the total for our two small drinks was $15.64. Seems a little steep. After all, this isn't Manhattan. It is the wild, wild West. My latte was good, but no better than other nearby coffee shops. My companion said her Honey Tumeric Latte was good also, but more than either of us want to pay for a coffee adventure. For now we will find other "go-to" places. Good, but a tad expensive.

By far one of my favorite coffee shops in ABQ. The service was great and the coffee was even better. It's a small place, but it's very well taken care of. This is in the Sawmill Market and there's a large sitting area outside which makes it easy to enjoy your coffee.

Beautifully presented! It was $6.5 for the 20 oz so I guess it was on the pricier end but I don't mind it since I am not going to order from them regularly. I can see how the coffee seemed weaker for some people. I was glad it wasn't too strong since coffee can make my stomach upset sometimes. I liked how it tasted. Sweet enough but not too sweet! The service was very quick as well. I did manage to go there when there wasn't a long line. When I go to Sawmill next time, I will stop by again!

Stoped here for post lunch coffee. I tried the cortado and wish the coffee was strong. It also has more milk relative to coffee shot.

Inside Sawmill Market. Top-notch espresso. I had the salted maple latte, which is an excellent winter treat.

Such a fantastic experience. Drinks are always on point and never taste burned. Baristas are super friendly even at the busiest of times!
