Placidity Massage Therapy

I went back to Placidity again for a massage...and booked another massage/cupping session with May to help with all the extreme tightness in my upper back/shoulders from office syndrome! I loved the cupping session and the massage right after cupping, too. The session was strong and very much to my liking. I liked that they use the real fire cupping (and not the weaker plastic cups to do the suction) and do some gliding of the cups to help loosen all the stiffness/fascia as well. I would definitely stop by again!

My wife heard about Placidity through Yelp and Google reviews. We decided on a couple's massage for our ninth anniversary. Neither of us have ever had a professional massage in our lives. We visited on a Saturday, April 17, 2022. Earlier in the day, we'd done a body pump class at our local Defined Fitness so we were tired and sore.We booked a one hour massage. Upon entering we were instructed to disrobe and cover up our unmentionables with a white sheet. We hung our clothes up on hooks inside the room. The green room had two massage tables and relaxing music playing. Our masseuses entered the room at exactly 1:00 PM and started our massages on the scalp and neck regions. My masseuse was named Carrie and she asked if I wanted a deep tissue. I said yes, but I would let her know if it hurt too much. Carrie probably weighs a buck fifteen, but she got out all my shoulder knots and used her elbows, knees and hands to really get out all the kinks. She did excellent lower back work and really eased my tired legs. She used hot rocks on my entire body along with hot oil to work out all my soreness. This couldn't have gone any better after a hard workout. My wife and I both left this establishment completely relaxed and feeling great. We paid sixty dollars each and with a tip paid a total of $145. Completely worth every single penny. Placidity will be moving from its current location in 2-3 months due to lease issues. So look for them in their new location soon. Visit them to get rid of all your muscle and joint pain.

I almost don't want to leave a review because I don't want them to get too busy for me lol!!! I've hit many spots and this place is sure my favorite. I always leave happy and satisfied.

I was pleasantly surprised to the technic of knowledge of my masseuse "Yu-yu" and I'm happy that the business was very clean, quiet and professional in their operations.

No intake form. No discussion or assessment (verbal or written) Extremely bad draping etiquette.Stopped session to answer someone ringing front doorbell during first 5 minutes of massage.Answered phone during first 10 minutes of massage. Completely exposes client's body when facing down and pulls undergarments down excessively. Pressured me to continue massage after I asked to Stop several times. This is not a therapeutic facility, and I felt extremely uncomfortable with the lack of professionalism and lack of communication between client and person giving massage. Licensed massage therapists are typically trained better than the experience I received. I gave this place a chance because of the great reviews on yelp! So I felt obligated to share what happened to me.

I have been having back problems for a few months and PT said I could try a massage. I booked 1/2 hour. I have never done deep tissue before - told her to focus on my back and that I had pain. This was not a relaxing time. There was no gentle start- she basically started beating on me from the first second. I would have liked her to ease into it to see how I reacted first. Maybe I should have spoken up more. I came out of there feeling bruised and battered (and I literally am bruised). The good news is that I do feel slight improvement in my problem area, so I may go back for more in a few weeks after the bruising goes away. I wish I had asked for her name.

Mae is amazing!!! I'm so happy and grateful to have found this place, I feel renewed every time I walk out through that door. 100% recommend this place.

Second time I have had a massage at Placidity. First time was good, second time today was great. The therapist, Alice, has good strong hands and techniques and applied the right amount of pressure to the areas needing the most attention. Recommend and will be a regular customer.

Incredible massage and very clean and professional. I highly recommend Wendy. She is very good and the best massage therapist I've been to, I've been there twice now and feel very relaxed, will be going back. Thank you!
