Pizza 9

I have a few fave pizza places on the ABQ eastside but decided to give Pizza 9 a try. I gave them benefit of the doubt with 3 that maybe they were having a bad day on my first visit. I ordered carry out and was told 35 minutes. Got there 7 minutes early and it was already sitting on a non heated rack and was not hot. Pizza itself was just not good. Ordered a large thin crust with 2-toppings. Edges of the crust were really burnt. Sauce was minimal and bland. Sorry guys but I have had better frozen pizzas or slices at the airport. I may give them another chance on one of their deep dishes or calzones but not anytime soon.

Pizza 9 gets a 5 star because their pizza is great and not to mention their gluten free pizza is very good. You can't even really tell the difference of crust, as I have celiac and my boyfriend does not so he has tried both the gluten free and the deep dish. Highly recommend. They also do doordash so it is very nice for us to order on nights we don't feel like going out.

4.5 starsOkay, I'm going to have to update my review. I had a Yelp event back in December for a pizza. The pizza came out great, plenty of cheese, and they let us do half and half toppings. Recently, this was one of several Pizza 9 locations that had a fundraiser for Officer Darian Jarrott's family. They were busy all day and still had great attitudes. And for them to donate their proceeds for that day, especially if like most restaurants had been struggling during the pandemic, wow. Our meatball subs were tasty and the calzone (at only $10) was enough for almost 3 meals for us). With this place just switching management, I know they're going to continue doing great things. I think I'll try delivery next time :)

This location is where J Gumbos used up be and they really haven't updated all the signage that well (and alas J Gumbos is no more! ). I saw that they were doing double dish pizzas which dare I hope could truly be Chicago style deep dish? Just maybe? I decided I had to try it. I think they're still figuring it out a bit, but definitely a very good attempt and probably the closest thing you'll find in town to true Chicago style deep dish. They definitely got the perfect buttery flavor on the crust, though the toppings were a little skimpy and the sauce was a bit heavy on the fresh tomato flavor. But I will definitely be back to try it again!

This is a nice casual dining spot with ok pizza. I wouldn't say it's NY quality but it's ok. The salads are nice here. A good spot for quick food when you are hungry. Not super expensive either.

The pizza is ok, above average, but honestly nothing special. The prices are reasonable. They do have pretty great meatball sandwiches and salad. It's not something I would recommend or eat often but a nice sometimes treat. Try the pizza with everything.

The pizza is delicious, and the new owners are really friendly local couple. Highly recommend making this your go to pizza place in Albuquerque, I know I am!

I generally don't review chains, but this one is not local to my area, and they really did a good job. It was a delivery order for inebriated participants, and they were fast with a nice, hot product. Bacon/Onion wheel was fine. Ordered a Pepp/Jalapeño, and the fresh peppers were decent, but my personal pref is pickled when on pizza. I should have asked, so that's on me. Meatball sammie was full-ball, and pretty big. Delivery driver was friendly. Heck yeah, I'd order from these guys again if no one wanted to get behind the wheel. Their product was better than I expected it be. And I write this after a sobering night's sleep... ;)

This was one of the first pizzas I tried when I moved back to ABQ and I was so impressed. Delectable. Crunchy crust almost like a deep dish pizza. Oily but very satisfying. Friendly pickup window and delivery folks.

I have been purchasing my favorite piano here since 2015. They consistently produce the best pizza with fresh toppings and a perfect crispy crust. There was a problem with my last order and the owner contacted me personally and made everything right. I recommend Pizza 9! Best pizza in town!
