Best bookstore for photographers!! I can spend all day here...wait. maybe a week? Not just this particular book store. The nice little coffee shop few doors down sell sandwiches and little desserts also have some cool magazines. I will come here weekly if I am live in Santa Fe! Some of the limited prints are pretty reasonable priced!

This review is strictly for their mail-order service, and I only wish I'd discovered their store during our last visit to Santa Fe. Anyway; I wanted a very heavy out-of-print book that was priced better here than anywhere else, and particularly since Photo-Eye's copy was in "new" condition. I ordered the book online, but I had a question and called them the next morning. The woman I spoke to - who was actually located in the store - was very pleasant and helpful. The book arrived today and it's in perfect condition, plus it was incredibly well-packed.(Update on 3/2/16): It's four years later and their mail order service is still *outstanding*. Occasionally I order books from them and all aspects are always terrific. Today I called to ask a question about a pending order, and the young guy I spoke to (Christian) was *incredibly* friendly.(Update on 6/1/17): More outstanding service, as always; today I spoke to someone in the bookstore (Laura) re: an order, and she was also incredibly friendly & helpful.

This was a great photography bookstore with some unusual finds. If you're interested in southwestern artists or interesting work, you will definitely find something worth buying here.

This place is densely packed with photography books. You walk in and you're eye is quickly drawn to the tall walls full of books, from floor to ceiling - easy to overlook the prints. I've never seen some of these books, some from local photographers as well as from photography teachers at the Santa Fe Workshops. I spent a couple hours pouring through some interesting ones on underground Japanese cultures and India landscape. The staff is very helpful in finding specific titles on their database and in the shop. Arguably, one of the best and largest selections of monographs, limited editions and other photo books in the country. How can you walk out empty-handed? Too heavy for my suitcase, I had a few books shipped. They were perfectly packed and arrived within a few days. It was so nice to come home and find a little bit of Santa Fe waiting for me.

Ordered a signed copy of Gregory Halpern's latest book quite some time ago. I was just informed that they had no more signed copies and they were very sorry, but they did have an unsigned copy though they were sold out too. Not sure how that works. Why is something marketed if it's not actually available? I wouldn't be surprised to see a signed, pristine copy of the same book for sale for a much higher price in a year through their site.
