I was passing through Santa Fe and decided to stop at this panadería. Found the best cochinito (pig cookie) I've had in a long time! Perfect combo of soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Highly recommend. It was so good that I wish I'd bought more. I have yet to try the pumpkin empanada, so will have to update this once I've eaten that tomorrow. The panadería is not self-serve at this time, but that wasn't a problem as long as you're ok with naming or pointing at things and having an employee bag things up for you. The gentleman behind the counter was so, so kind and chatted with me or answered all my questions while packing up the pan dulce in a bag. Also, added bonus: prices here are extremely reasonable. Only gave 4 instead of 5 stars because I was hoping the concha would be a bit more moist, but it heated up well at home and was nice and squishy/soft after warming it up. Still enjoyed it!

They sold my daughter and I old, dry and inedible pastries. Way too expensive for items that should have already been disposed of. $22 for a package a OLD tortillas, concha, cake, empanada, cookie, and pancacita. Terrible inedible food.

We stopped here to pick up the night's desserts because we were a few minutes late making it to Chocolate Maven and Madame Matisse's hours also got reduced recently so the options were getting slim. I used to visit a couple of the Mexican bakeries in the town I used to live, so I know how Mexican baked goods are different from French pastries, and I've had some really good Mexican pastries. I'm not an expert by any means but I know a lot of Mexican pastries aren't very sweet so you have to know what to get if that's what you want. The shop is pretty small and a lot of the pastries aren't labeled. This made it a bit intimidating to try to figure out what we wanted because we would have had to ask a bunch of questions. They had a couple empanadas that were labelled and a ton of cookies of not obviously determinate type, and some things I have no idea what they were or what they would taste like, and then some turnovers. In general I love turnovers and the sadly now defunct bakery I used to go to in my former life had great turnovers, so I asked what flavors they had... I picked apple and hubs picked strawberry. Honestly, they were just ok. They were just on the border between fresh and stale, they were a bit dusty and as with a lot of Mexican pastries, not very sweet. There was only a tiny amount of filling in mine, not sure about the other. Neither of us was that impressed.Perhaps some of the other items are better, but honestly I think with so many amazing bakeries in town we just need to make sure to get to one of those before it closes and leave this one for those who prefer this style of pastry.

I dogged my bro Connor and then the hot sauce dogged me at the benches in front of the neighboring Arby's. The food here was absolutely scrumptious and bussin. I really enjoyed the chocolate concha and my watermelon Arizona. I also tried my buddy Tim's burrito and that's when I got dogged by the hot sauce. I also thought that owner that gave us our food was very friendly and made the experience more enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend.

We went to this awesome Mexican bakery today to get some Dias de Los Muertos breads, which were absolutely delicious. They were slightly lemony with some currents and they were so wonderful to look at as well! Also got what translated to "rocks", which was basically spice bread/cookies with raisins and chocolate on top. Prices were incredibly reasonable! They also special order cakes with 1 day notice. Definitely planning on going back for more bread, cookies and maybe a special order Tres Leches cake!

You have no idea how hard I looked for a good panaderia. Seriously, when I searched for one in Santa Fe, the first things listed were French bakeries. So when I realized this place existed, I decided to try it now that I'm on another trip in the Santa Fe area.Let me start by saying this is very authentic, complete with the tray and tongs to use as you get your goodies. I was also delighted by the selection. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because most of my items were overly dry, I'm assuming because they had been sitting too long on shelves that were not very well protected from the air. Even with that taken into consideration, a few of the items weren't as good as I can find at other places. I'll still be back on my next visit -- and hopefully, it will then be a 5-star review.

If you're looking for something fresh and good, like a churro, this is not the place. It was soggy, cold, gross. One had red filling in it?

An authentic Mexican bakery with a wide variety delicious looking pastries. We bought different kinds of pastries as they all looked good. All of them taste delicious! You can tell they are made from scratch and taste healthy. We are certain to go back.
