Paako Ridge Golf Club

This is an update to my original review. I haven't been here for a while. The menu has changed and there are some new options. I had the Cubano, which is one of my favorite sandwiches. I honestly believe it can compete with cubanos in Miami and that is saying a lot.The staff here is extremely welcoming and friendly. The views are spectacular. I was happy to visit again and will look forward to returning before the season ends.

We are new residents of Paa-ko and we're delighted to find such a tasty place for lunch. There were no signs pointing us in the right direction to the restaurant, but we found it. From the moment we walked in, every encounter with an employee was great. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. We were even visited by the manager after our meal. That is always a nice touch. The dining room is comfortable and the views are spectacular. I had the tacos... but I wish I had ordered the 505 sandwich, which is what my husband ordered... IT WAS PHENOMENAL. Next time... and there will be a next time. This is a hidden gem.

Outstanding golf course. We played 18 holes & planned to end with dinner at the clubhouse.Hostess greets us warmly. She winced when she asked if we had a reservation. No, we did not. There was no one there but us.There is 2 of us.There. Was. No. One. There.After some confusion, she decided we didn't need a reservation.Patio dining only. OK."But you can only sit at these tables." This side is only for bar service. They only serve drinks & small bites under the umbrellas."Can we sit at this table?"(the only table with shade in the "dining area")Yes, we can.We are seated & looking over the menu when the hostess returns to tell us we have to change tables b/c this table is not for dining."Get the manager, please"Manager stands his ground..."We can't seat you here due to 'logistical issues'".There. Is. No. One. Here. Do you think your employees are too stupid to figure out which tables the drinks & entrees need to go? I feel sorry for you.There was no way we were moving to another table at this point.We will do our fine dining elsewhere.

I played a round of golf here back in the summer of 2017 and absolutely loved it. I'm just getting into doing Yelp reviews for lots of golf courses I've played and this course has remained one of my favorites still to this day. It was my first experience with desert golf and one that I'll never forget. The course was so beautiful and the scenery around the course was amazing. It was golf like I had never played before, with having a little extra sand and hitting over arroyos. I played here with one of my best friends who had moved to New Mexico and we both had a really great time. He has since moved to Colorado, but I'm sure I'll go back to New Mexico again someday and I will for sure be bringing my golf clubs to play Paako Ridge again.

Best kept secret in the East Mountains and New Mexico---the Paako Ridge Golf Club exceptional quality---excellent food---and that view!!! Did I mention the best golf course ever....only 15 min from Albuquerque!!

Note: East Coast guy here who had never played desert golf before this week. Unbelievably beautiful course. I had a blast playing here. It was tough to be sure and I had a rough time adjusting to the speed and the amount of slope on the greens. But the layout is spectacular with a lot of trouble everywhere. There are some small driving areas as well so be careful and play the correct tees. One par 3 has a four tiered, 100 yard long green. Just awesome. Be sure to play the tees labeled 6 and 7 on hole number 17. Their location is on the card they give you that shows the course layout. They are beyond the regular tee markers but the view is amazing. The range, putting green, and short game areas are all beautiful. The pro shop was simple and straight forward, but the staff was friendly and helpful. This place is well worth the drive around the mountain and the greens fees.

Golf course was amazing. Very fast round, but weren't many people that day. The staff was nice and helpful. Have extra balls if this is your first time there.

Great dinner in a beautiful setting. Cocktails were delicious too. Cant ask for more really. So glad to have found this place in East mountain area

Paako Ridge rightfully deserves to be on the Golf Digest top 100 courses! The course is in great shape with excellent rolling greens, pristine fairways, and a challenging shotmakers course. This has the longest par 3 hole I've ever played at 260 yds(downhill with the wind though). The high altitude helps the ball carry a little farther(about an extra Club for me. I'm a 12 hcp). The restaurant has excellent service and great food. Plan on lunch or dinner after your round.

Beautiful views and great food- the staff is great and super friendly! Would highly recommend
