We went to another business first, Wayne Dalton and waited 15 minutes nobody would help us. We walked into overhead door. We were told we to make an appointment. Then one of the salesman came up, and he said I can help you now. He was very well informed and we ended up ordering two custom garage doors for a very large home.

My 12 year old closer died unexpectedly (don't they all?) and I called OHD of ABQ to come out to possibly repair it. They charge about $165 for the trip out and includes the first 30 minutes of technician's time. AND $110 every 30 minutes after than. So, two hours of trouble-shooting & (possibly) repair (not including parts) would cost about $500. The cost of a new closer which included installation labor was $700. So, we opted for the new closer. The technician did a great job installing it and the work was done relatively quickly. One thing you want to get correct is the opening and closing limits. These were perfect. And, the new unit and gears are so much more quiet. We are very happy with the materials and the service.

Overhead Door replaced two garage doors on my home and did a great job, sort of, which is why I gave them 4-stars and not 5. Here's why. I received three quotes from three different companies and they were the best and lowest. I mean, the other two weren't even close. It wasn't because their garage doors were substandard or inferior as they quoted me a price for the exact same features and quality. It took about two weeks for the garage doors to arrive. They setup an installation date and arrived on schedule. I was surprised to find that only one installer or tech was required for the installation. He was rather young and had only been installing doors for six months. Regardless, he seemed qualified and worked well with tools. Installation took about six hours for both doors. Here's where the reason for the 4-star rating began. The single-wide garage door panels (two) were scratched and one panel had a small ding right on the edge. Totally unacceptable. I had to point it out to the installer as he never said anything. If I hadn't been home, they might have denied any responsibility. I asked the installer to make note of it on the work order, which he did. I then called the sales rep to explain the situation. He apologized and said he would make it right and get the two panels replaced. A few days later, another installer showed up with new panels and swapped them out in less than an hour. Great job!I also noticed that the two-car garage door wasn't sealing right and was slightly skewed. The top panel needed to be adjusted to where it sealed nicely up against the lower panel. He also adjusted the entire door and rails to make it as square as possible. Again, great job!The new garage door open is whisper quiet! Well, at least compared to the one that was replaced which was 25-years old. Programming it for WiFi access and installing the "My-Q" app worked flawlessly. This new garage door opener came with a camera and battery backup. The camera feature works great! You can setup the app for notifications, custom features, and cloud storage of video. All in all, I'm very pleased with Overhead Garage Door. No pressure sales pitch, terrific prices, and responsive. Had the garage door panels not been slightly damaged and dirty, I would have rated them 5-stars.

We just moved into our home and had several things go wrong: the remote didn't work correctly and a few weeks later a Coil on one of the doors broke. All of th we technicians we t e well spoken, listened, focused on their work and extremely helpful in showing us how to take care of the doors. We are very happy we called Overhead Doors and no one else. They were wonderful and fast.

This pandemic supply chain debacle, man, what a mess. I know there are a ton of factors contributing to the reason why I ordered replacement panels for a garage door in September and the repair was estimated to happen in March; the repair finally took place in June. I could be a real jerk and express outrage in a review, but that's not how mommy raised me, and it wasn't a huge deal, they simply could have done a better job of keeping me posted about the delay. One star removed.Once the panels arrived the service was on time, efficient, friendly, and I had to leave prior to the end of the install -- no problem, they cleaned up and closed up. Overhead Door is an exclusive company of many, many communities around Albuquerque and truth be told, I'd rather work with a company that was more flexible, but they did the trick.

We have a small, ancient, uniquely shaped door opening with an odd ceiling interior. The house was built in the 40s and 4 other companies said they couldn't install an automatic system. 3 of the competitors said we'd have to spend thousands tearing down part of our ceiling etc to make it work. The other just said "No way in hell is it possible."Then overhead door blew our minds. I don't know how they did it, but they made it work. The door is faux wood and everything works and looks perfect. Communication with customer service and installers was friendly and professional and I just can't say enough good about them. A little pricey and timeline took awhile, but they were the only company in town who was confident about getting it done right. If you want the best, this is it.

I called because my door was very noisy and I was afraid it would quit working at an inconvienient time. He called prior to the visit and arrived on time. He did a good job and shared information. I hope I don't have to, but I would call again

After some minor damage was done to our garage door, I called Overhead Doors to find out the cost of replacing one panel. I was told they could not tell me the cost without an inspection. So a service call was scheduled and an email sent to confirm the date and time. At no point was a fee or the amount disclosed. The technician arrived and did a brief inspection then gave us the options. He then casually offered to look at a broken light on the opener that he was NOT able to fix. He proceeded to say we owed him for the service call ($69.99) and for 30 minutes labor which resulted in a $145 charge. He actually did absolutely nothing to repair the door in anyway and would not leave without payment. This seems like a very coercive tactic to require payment to even get any cost information. I spoke to the manager who was extremely rude and did nothing to rectify the situation. Horrible customer service and has made me reluctant to ever be a customer of Overhead Doors again.

I asked the repairman for an estimate he said they charge $225 per hour his estimate was for 1 to 1 1/2 hours for a spring adjustment so I had estimated $225-$300 when they finished the bill had additional charges of $56.95 for a service call and $8.50 for fuel surcharge plus $375 for spring adjustment to me it was dishonest of the repairman not to mention the additional charges UPFRONT.I would not recommend or ever use this business again

Purchased an overhead door for my new garage from the Overhead Door Company in 2021. Recently, I asked them to come and service the door, which they did quickly. The door had been having trouble opening and the technician discovered that one of the light beams that keeps the door from closing on things had been knocked askew. Fixed things right up! The technician was knowledgeable and friendly and the original installation was perfect. If I had another garage I would put another Overhead Door in it.
