Ortega's Jerky

The owner has to be the most unscrupulous person in business in the small town of Espanola. if you are ok with rude customer service, this place is for you. The product is decent and reasonably priced but based on the smell of the store you have to question the quality and cleanliness of the place. Just order off the shelf. If you attempt to customize your order he will promise the moon but when it's time to deliver he doesn't remember making the commitment

$10 for a huge bag of jerky. F yeah! This is a really dry, thin variety... And has a ton of uhhh variations. Not sure how many, there was a whole wall of them. Great stand.

The first time I ordered from here, it wasn't too bad. I always buy from another place in Albuquerque but they don't ship. I thought I had found a pretty good place and the first time I ordered it wasn't too bad. Not great, but passable. The next time I ordered, I ordered for myself and a coworker. 12 packages of jerky. The lemon pepper was horrible. Most of the bags were shredded at the bottom of the bags. There was so much salt on it, it was half white. I called the number on there and was referred to another number. I spoke to a person that made excuses that the damage was caused by the mail handling and wasn't very helpful at all. Read that they do not make their own jerky so it isn't consistent. I thought Vigil's was bad when they sent me old jerky. This was so salty it was inedible. Lesson learned. Will never order from this dealer again.

The beef jerky is great tasting, the gallon bags are at a great value and service is quick l. I like their green chile and their chipotle flavors the most

This is the best beef jerky I have ever tasted. Our family sends it to us from New Mexico all the way to Hawaii. It is very addicting. The price is very reasonable and well worth it. I tried to order online but the website found in the beef jerky bag is inactive.

Amazing beef jerky and such a great deal! We got the habanero, green chili, and red chili. They also have locations in Taos and Espanola. Definitely worth checking out.
