I just finished my 4 month treatment, which entailed weekly acupuncture treatments, consultation with a Dr., and supplements. I'd say I went in there feeling around 65% healthy and now I feel around 95% healthy. I originally visited them because I was suffering in a major way from seasonal allergies and I have also suffered from GI issues for years. I had also felt pretty mentally foggy/distracted and had some symptoms of depression. The big changes I've seen so far: Allergies have pretty much disappeared and I have lots more energy, less depression, have lost a bit of weight, and I have better mental focus/less foggy. My gut is also waaaay better than it was, but not totally perfect. If I can figure out the magic formula for my gut, and/or be more disciplined then it will feel like a miracle after suffering from gut issues for the past 20 years or so. The best part for me was definitely the diagnostics. They take hair, saliva, stool, and cheek swab tests and send them off to various labs. Based on those tests you learn a ton about your body and its various deficiencies and intolerances. This includes hormonal (stress), as well as nutrients, gut health, and some weird stuff I still don't understand. Then they give you all sorts of supplements and have you follow restrictive diets (not that bad actually) to help you get back on track. I think the supplements they use are good & I'm guessing that I will continue to take some of them after my 4-month 'treatment'. That alone seems helpful, because if I was going to try to go to Whole Foods and figure out what I should buy I would have no clue & I'd probably spend tons of money with little outcome. My final endorsement . . . I really like the people there. They are super friendly, professional, and personable. They are obviously dedicated to a healthy lifestyle and practice what they preach, but they aren't overly 'hippyish' & they don't expect people to completely change their lives overnight. I feel like my Dr. (Baroody) is really dedicated to trying to help me get healthy, and wants to make sure I leave there in a better place. In contrast, I went to my (Presbyterian) primary care physician the other day for a checkup....because I had to make an appointment 4 months in advance in order to be seen & I figured it was worth just trying out. I was shocked and disgusted at what a factory the health system felt like. I felt like the Dr's job was to get me in and out of the room as fast as possible and just make sure I didn't have any high risk warning signs for cancer/heart disease/diabetes/suicidal depression. The people that worked there were miserable, obese, and seemed like the last people that should be working in the healthcare sector. I was so happy to go back to my Original Medicine appointment the following week. Negative: The treatment is not inexpensive and they do a good job of selling you and getting you to pay upfront without being super-transparent about what exactly you are paying for. The first appointment (1 hr.) is as much and informational session as it is a sales pitch. The sales pitch felt a bit creepy, to the point where I was seriously worried I was getting conned. If I wasn't feeling so unhealthy that day, I may not have signed up. I think insurance will end up covering some of the cost, particularly the acupuncture, but only through reimbursement & that could be a pain to chase down. That said, now that I've experienced it, I definitely think you ultimately get what you pay for & it's actually nice to get the payment out of the way upfront. Things like the free classes, lots and lots of supplements, and weekly acupuncture visits all add up I'm sure. These guys are not getting rich off of me & I'm sure they are running on very thin margins. They say investments in health are some of the best ones you can make . . . which may just be a platitude that's all part of the sales pitch, but it's already paid off for me in terms of my general happiness.

The front office and Dr. Baroody made my experience at original medicine tolerable. i was turned off that Dr. Eagles wanted payment up front, that's highly unethical. i would have said no but she enticed me with tests that would give information to help me feel better. I was disappointed she didn't repeat the tests at the end of the program to see if her program had made any noticeable difference. I was promised an exercise program that abruptly stopped when her exercise person quit. i think she means well but I came in and left in the same condition except I enjoyed Dr. Baroody. i would not recommend Original Medicine.

Over the past two years I've spent my life at various appointments, trying anything and everything I could just to feel normal again. From my primary care physician to Rheumatologists and Orthopedic physicians none of them were able to do anything but mask my symptoms with prescriptions which only worked for a short period of time (if at all). I was extremely skeptical walking into my first appointment at Original Medicine... After all, everyone else had failed me! Today I can happily say that I feel 90% better after a few weeks of treatment. No one has been able to accomplish in 2 years what they're continuing to do each time I walk in that office. The added benefit (as if feeling better weren't good enough) is that it's about more than just treatment there... You honestly feel like a member of their family! Everyone in that office is heaven sent and I seriously look forward to my appointments each week!

I took my friend there multiple times for follow up treatments to the stem cell injections he had done there. I keep telling the staff after 6 weeks he was not getting any better, in fact I thought he was getting worse. The biggest issue was that Dr. Eagles didn't request a MRI before she injected him with stem cells, really? How do you know where the problem is without an image? My friend was admitted to the hospital with stage 4 kidney cancer! The horrific pain he was experiencing wasn't his back but the cancer. If this doctor would have done the MRI first this would have been detected. Also, no follow up from this incompetent doctor and she knew he had to use a walker to get around! Before the stem cells he only needed a cane. In his case the stem cell injections seemed to make his condition worse. He probably didn't need stem cells, but they are eager to take your money without a full diagnosis.Bottom line...stay away from this clinic,

I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic and with Dr Reba Eagles. I spent a long time filling out their preliminary forms, I disclosed my private healthcare information, scheduled the long introductory appointment into my day, and paid them $89. What did I get in return? Essentially, I got a medium-pressure sales pitch for a program that would cost about $5,000. So, she charges you for your time so she can sit with you, sympathetically hear your story, and then she provides you with nothing but the vague promise of a program. They don't even give you anything to take home so you can consider what they are trying to sell. I was told they only offer these expensive programs. Also, some of the lines used in the sales pitch were cheesy and annoying, like, "How much is your health worth to you?"Dr Eagles is personable, so I trusted her, but it turns out that she does the selling, and told me she would not be my caregiver. I felt tricked, irritated, and betrayed by the whole experience. I want a refund of my money. I received nothing for it.Most definitely not going back.

Everyone in this office is great. The doctors are very knowledgeable, pleasant, attentive, and actually listen to you. They ask questions about your health and problems. To the core of the problem which has taken me to this office. I blew L5 over 30 years ago. Since then the slow collapse and desiccation of L4, L3, and scoliosis mixed with arthritis of various types. Have led to an unbelievable life of pain. In fact it was so great that I was considering nerve oblation to end it.While considering the limited options, I figured I would try acupuncture. What do I have to loose? Except, I have a needle phobia. The very reason I have not considered acupuncture in the past. However the pain and growing limits of movement and quality of life were dictating my actions now.Dr. Reba sat down with me and we went over the questions and answers I had filled out. She decided which way we should go for treatment. I was turned over to Dr. Noelle. Dr. Noelle showed me the needles, talked to me, reassured me (if that is possible), and proceeded to apply the prescribed treatment. To my whining whimpering surprise, it did not hurt. I am elated beyond words. The pain I was complaining about subsided over several treatments during the following weeks. I now look forward to going to the treatment sessions. Much of the pain in my back is gone or greatly reduced. I can walk for short distances and duration that I could not before. I can go to the store and not slump over the shopping cart for support. I can actually hold on to it and walk.I have been going for treatments now going on 9 months. During this time I have obtained a greater relief of pain and limited mobility. Than all of the treatments and medications I was prescribed before.I have nothing but praise for the Doctors and staff here at Original Medicine Acupuncture and Wellness. The professionalism, care, and support they give is exceptional in all ways.
