It's hard to believe that such a great sushi shop exist in this little town. The food is great and there is a good size menu. There is no outdoor seating and there is a decent amount of seating inside. The prices are good. Service is great. I have been very happy with every visit so far. This was my first time having sushi in New Mexico and it was decent. It's located in the heart of Los Alamos and open for dining in. When we arrived, we stood at the door for a few minutes before anyone came over to us, but other than that service was fine.I was a little afraid to try their nigiri and sashimi considering this restaurant is located 2 hours from the nearest major airport, so I stuck with their sushi rolls. Everything was drizzled in a lot of sauce and had a lot of rice, so it's definitely an Americanized sushi spot. My favorite was the Chile Relleno roll because I like cream cheese and green chile. The Santa Fe roll also had green chile in it, but was pretty plain. The pieces were also cut unevenly. I wouldn't recommend the Spider or Dynamite rolls because they were both a little fishy even with all the sauce. We also got an order of Monkey Brains and that is basically a thick layer of fried batter with a dollop of imitation crab and sauce. I didn't taste any mushrooms that it advertised. Overall it was worth a try since I've been craving sushi for months, but I wouldn't come here with high expectations if you've had sushi in bigger cities. We spent $100 for 4 rolls, an appetizer & 2 beers.

Not the best service our waitress would get our orders wrong and forget orders. I don't understand how she didn't notice that not everyone at the table got their plates. It was not a busy night and lots of mistakes were made. Food on the other hand was ok a bit pricey for the quality of food. Also if you want fried rice instead they charge you an extra $5. The price was a bit surprising but it came out in a big bowl that could have possibly been shared with the table. We should have been warned about the size before ordering it.We were served the miso soup and salad with our dinner entrees which came out quickly and were good. Once our main dishes came out they were ok too nothing special or great to brag about. For the service I would prefer to go somewhere else or order take out.

This is a nice sushi place for a small town. Service is good and food is tasty. I love the nigiri sushi and the miso soup. This is a good place for sushi.

I ordered sashimi combo for togo it comes with salad and miso soup. Salad dressing was . Everything was so fresh and delicious. Servers were all very nice makes me felt welcomed! 10/10 recommend :)

Sushi was good. It is pricey. Sushi falls apart, so could use better chef skills. They do not give wasabi in my to go order. They expect a tip on to go orders.

The ownership has changed, so they are waiting on their liquor license. Only a couple empty tables which was a good sign. Ordered spring rolls and shumai to start. Shumai was room temperature which they immediately replaced. Wife prefers cooked food so she ordered the bento bulgogi. Nice size portions but bulgogi was under seasoned. One concern; when I reviewed the menu, I realized my nigiri combo was short 2 pieces. It's chef's choice and several salmon pieces limited the experience. Overall, we will be back.

Good food. Service is just ok. They would be a 5 - star but for service and they're randomly closed at normal open times occasionally. They're only open for a few hours even when they're open so........it's kind of a big deal.......

Great food but not professional sushi chef Yesterday I and other friends dine in Origami Restaurant at lunchtime, our waitress seated us down got drinks and took order from us. She was very nice and kindly we haven't seen at any restaurant in around this town. We did order few sushi rolls and some appetizers. Then we saw and heard our waitress asked the sushi man on what table to go, but he wasn't respond to her justed face down with his duties. We felt very bad, unhappy the way he treated waitress, is this attitude was he?. I requested who in charge there to stand out organization your chef to be gentleman with ladies and give word sorry to her. He should be respond to waitress or waiter when she/he ask. We come in to eat and hurry to go due to enough time our lunch only 45 minutes, please understand.

Dancing Eel! Most amazing sushi roll we've ever had. Server attentive but they have a bit of trouble keeping up. We weren't too fond of the soft shell crab tempura
