Came back to update my review after having a nearly identical set of circumstances with totally different outcome. Went into a different shop when check engine came on - now at the end of our cross country trip I'm in CO - asked if the shop could quickly check the code for me. The mechanic kind of begrudgingly did, but he did it quickly and then honestly told me what the issue was, reset the code and sent me on my way. $0 dollars. Old town automotive should be avoided at all costs. Not trustworthy. I asked them if they could quickly check the code. She told me how much a full diagnostic was ($200) I should have left then. After the "full diagnostic" When I asked if they would charge me a "partial diagnostic" she said no. I asked for the Yelp check in discount $10 or $20 maybe? no. AAA discount ? No. After asking if the was anything she could do to help me out she finally caved and gave me the aaa discount because she "doesn't even subscribe to Yelp and can't understand them on the phone half the time." I don't know if it's worth noting... THE ONLY REASON I WAS THERE WAS BECAUSE OF YELP, It was 10 or $20 discount and they were already ripping me off... I regret letting my anxiety get the better of me at the start of the trip. This situation was easily avoidable. I should have just left. Still waiting for that full diagnosis btw. Boo this garage.

Came here with a flat tire. Valerie told me they were pretty busy and it'd be a two hour wait. She referred me to a nearby place and said they could get it done in 15 minutes. Very helpful!

INCREDIBLE costumer service story, best service we've EVER had !!My husband & I were pulling a uhual cross country when what we thought was our brakes started acting up. I looked for the closest shop right off the highway & Old Town Auto was conveniently right off of exit 157. We were 40 minutes away & after calling ahead they stayed open over an HOUR later for us. The technician Andrew took one look at our truck & knew what was wrong. Since we were traveling with a full uhual & truck bed, Andrew figured out how to jack it without taking off the trailer. Amanda & Valerie helped us get a AAA discount & a warranty on our new wheel bearings. To top it all off they put our truck & trailer in their gated lot, gave us a tarp for free to cover it for the night & Andrew woke up at 7am to let us in! We could not recommend Old Town Automotive more, thank you so much for getting us home safely.

Old Town Tire & Auto is close by so I didn't drive over to the DISCOUNT TIRE where I bought my tires. My front end started to shimmy at 55 MPH so I called to ask how much it would cost to have my tires balanced. Without seeing my car or asking ANY other questions, the woman immediately said "it's not your tires it's your DRIVE TRAIN". I said "no it's not please tell me how much you charge to balance my tires". She said $60 for each tire!!!!! Wait a minute - don't you mean for ALL FOUR TIRES??? No $240 !!!!!!! I drove to Discount Tire and they balanced and rotated all four tires for FREE. I called a few other places just for kicks and they were all between $45 - $55 total.

great price for tire repair and really quick service got a flat on a road trip the people were very nice if you need any tire repair this is the place to go

WOW! Talk about above and beyond! When our camper tires started smoking on I-40 this morning, we just happened to pull into the nicest business in Albuquerque! We spent the first 1.5 hours trying to get a tow through our warranty. Nothing big enough to move our camper was available. So Tim was talking to the gal in the office who said maybe they could help! I mean.... These folks were SO incredibly kind as we were pretty much taking up their whole parking lot! The guy got out there in the heat and started working to get the tire off so he could get to the broken leaf spring. Then he noticed the other one was broken on the right side as well. We called the place where we were trying to get towed to and went and picked up two new ones. While Brent (our new best friend) was putting those on, we went and picked up two new tires (they had 3 in stock). Brent got the tires back on then Alex literally STOPPED traffic on a VERY busy street in both directions for us to back out and get on I-40! Such gratitude for everyone who helped us out today!

Charging $170 to install an anti mouse sonic device that costs $35 online and takes 5 minutes to install is not okay.

Brought my '16 Chevy Sonic there because it was AAA listed and i broke down nearby. I had positive dealings with Downtown Tire and Auto and they are apparently part of the same (think they bought them out). They diagnosed and replaced my radiator. Showed me the failed one after repairs were completed the next day. Within 30 days an auxiliary part failed and they fixed it free of charge. They even picked me up after the repair. 10/10 will use their services again!

Fantastic sweet lady. Really helped me. I got a flat tire and really needed to change new tire. She didn't have tires at the store but recommended another store nearby that really helped

Alex and the whole team at Old TownTire and Automotive were an answer to prayer. My wife and I were 3,000 miles into a 5,000 mile road-trip, pulling a camper trailer when the check engine light came on. No big deal, right? Pulled off I-40 at 4:30 pm and checked my OBC scanner. While I was checking the scanner, I heard a terrible grinding noise under the hood and smelled something melting. Turned off the ignition, and nothing would start. I looked across the street, and saw This business. They stayed late to tow my car and trailer to their lot and secured my trailer overnight. They worked us in first thing in the morning. Starter and battery replaced and on the road again by 1 pm. Thank you!!! Highly recommend!
