You can check the old town or Albuquerque website for the live music that is played in Old Town at the gazebo on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays. These are free events offered during the summer time by the city of Albuquerque. You never know what kind of music is going to be playing.

Gazebo is centrally located in Old Town's many Southwestern shops. Great for relaxing and listening to the outdoor music festival.

The Old Town Gazebo is one of the focal points of Old Town as it's location is directly in the center of the main plaza. Vieja Park, where the Gazebo is located is also nearby the beautiful, historical San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, so a traditional Catholic church wedding and a Gazebo reception is a good possibility here. This simple Gazebo has an adobe style framework in the traditional New Mexican style. It is a great venue for an event, but beware! As with all city parks, rental of the Plaza Vieja Gazebo does not preclude the use of the park area by the general public. So you may book a wedding or performance but the use of the park is not private. Also, there is limited street parking in the area but there are paid parking spots nearby. Because of the sad state of parking here, I had to deduct 1 YELP STAR. However the confines of the location, it is a very celebratory spot that allows you the freedom to do your own thing with decorating, lighting and décor. The use fee for the Gazebo of $300.00 is due when making your reservation. The Gazebo rental in on a first come, first served basis. Reservations for the following year may be booked up to 12 months in advance until Nov. 1, at which time bookings for the remainder of the following year will be accepted. When I came by on a busy Saturday afternoon, it appeared there was some kind of performance going on at the Gazebo. This picturesque park and charming Old Town Gazebo is a wonderful place for any type of social gathering and probably has seen many happy memories made around it.

I want to applaud Gail P, the first to review this, um, gazebo, with her exhaustively detailed description of this elevated performance stage in Old Town. Gail saw fit to create a page specifically for the gazebo; others might have considered a review of the Plaza, perhaps, but not Gail. Rather, Gail chose the landmark (shall we call it a landmark?) to describe all sorts of important information about the surrounding architecture and rental fees associated with special events one might host in the gazebo. She negates one star for the parking situation. For shame, Old Town. Standing ovation, Gail! And this is, indeed, a gazebo. Regular performances do occur on this stage. Weddings and photo-ops also take place on the plywood. Occasionally, my kid jumps up this gazebo, when it's empty, she busts a move. I don't want to sound snarky, here. The beauty of this listing is that anyone, including you, you poor, sad soul who has wasted the better part of a fleeting minute of your life reading this asinine review, even you can create a page for whatever may fancy your attention or curiosity. I often craft reviews for random local flare, it's the kind of creative expression that makes my little slice of remote high desert life worth living. Hence, my own review of a cottonwood stump, which needs to be updated, because it now has a prominent spot on the front lawn of the San Felipe de Neri church: https://www.yelp.com/biz/cottonwood-madonna-or-virgin-of-the-tree-albuquerque
